ernierocker Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 ^I think he was talking about track construction. LOVE the POV video! Looking forward to seeing the completed track in person next week!
DougMJr Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Wow, that thing was put up fast. The animation looks as awesome as I imagined. So pumped for next year!
coasterfreaky Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Well, yeah, two months for vertical construction and about five/six months of site prep....seems about normal timeframe for coasters these days if you don't have winter weather to create delays. I'm just a bit surprised by all the "surprise" reactions to the speed of construction...but i've been following it so close since it started about seven months ago. Anyway, yes the POV is fantastic!!! March can't get here quickly enough.
Skycoastin Steve Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Now more than ever, I think that Raptor, X-Flight, Swarm, and Wild Eagle are two credits each! Anyone agree with me? How?
A.J. Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Left side and right side. Two completely different experiences, right?
harper83087 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 ^^I can see your arguement AJ but I'd still consider it one credit. Sure you may get slight differences depending on which side you sit on but it's still the same coaster, just like X2 or the Zac Spins.
BeemerBoy Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Can't every coaster be considered to have "different experiences," based on where you sit on the train?
harper83087 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 ^Truth. Anyway, this thing looks like a blast! Would have loved to have seen a roll somewhere in the back half but I'm still satisfied with the layout. Have to go see Dolly next year!
vuurvogel Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Love the RCT scream sounds in the video. Looks like a excellent ride. I was pleasantly surprized by Raptor. So to ride a full scale B&M wingrider should be awesome.
coasterbill Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 THANK YOU! Someone gets it right! Isn't that Dollywood's press release? I would think they of all people had BETTER get it right.
alilstronger Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 WOW! Looks AMAZING!!!!! I can not wait to ride this one day.
Guy T. Koepp Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I'm not a religious man, but... ...please (insert favorite religious figure here) let there be pass holder previews the last week in Decemburrrrrrr! Guy "I'll be good all year if there is." Koepp
CorkscrewFoley Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 What? No keyhole? I have to say this looks far more impressive than I originally thought. This is going to be a stellar coaster.
Schotcher Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I'm a bit confused about the "210' tall". Is it 210 feet above the station?
robbalvey Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Now more than ever, I think that Raptor, X-Flight, Swarm, and Wild Eagle are two credits each! Anyone agree with me? No, sorry. It's one. And that will be TPR's official stance on the subject. There is just no way I would ever, nor would I suggest that someone ever, count a coaster like this as two credits. Yeah...Just no. --Robb "X2 was always one credit, Furius Baco was always one credit, B&M or any other companies wing riders will be always be just one credit." Alvey
donkeyman18 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 WOW fastest construction ever this thing was up before I knew it!
A.J. Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 No, sorry. It's one. And that will be TPR's official stance on the subject. Oh, fine. Ruin my fun. I'll just make a "wing coasters are two credits" shrine in my back closet, and secretly worship it until the end of time. Still, it looks absolutely fantastic. Maybe I should leave for Orlando a day early so I can go to Dollywood and ride it...and Thunderhead...and Mystery Mine...and Tornado...
robbalvey Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 No, sorry. It's one. And that will be TPR's official stance on the subject. Oh, fine. Ruin my fun. I'll just make a "wing coasters are two credits" shrine in my back closet, and secretly worship it until the end of time. That sounds like an amazingly awesome creepy thing to do. I approve.
RoCo Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Loving that POV animation. I swear to Crom, I'm getting to Dollywood next year.
cfc Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 No, sorry. It's one. And that will be TPR's official stance on the subject. Oh, fine. Ruin my fun. Jeff Johnson would be proud to have such a shrine.
tntornadox Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I'm a bit confused about the "210' tall". Is it 210 feet above the station? Yes.
Bryce232 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Some of those screams sounded just like the ones used in Busch Gardens' Cheetah Hunt animation? Maybe the better themed theme parks invented their own personal coaster animation without telling us?
acq10uaz Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Some of those screams sounded just like the ones used in Busch Gardens' Cheetah Hunt animation? Maybe the better themed theme parks invented their own personal coaster animation without telling us? The same one (or should I say person) they have been using for years. Seriously, Keith is awesome. Plus every time he makes a new video they just become better and better. http://www.3dvip.com/About/About.htm
dragonskeep Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 ^ That is a very talented man. I like his work a lot. I dabble with the 3d programs for fun and it isn't easy, he's a genius.
