coastercrzyjames Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 The Canyon Blaster at the Circus Circus Adventuredome in Las Vegas. Yeah i remember it being a fun ride. Haven't ridden it in eight years though.
Mechanic Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Turn of the century at Marriots Great America. I rode it in 1976 when it opened. The double corkscrew was the only upside-down part of the ride at that time. After the addition of the vertical loops and theming, it is now Demon at CGA. It used to have some pretty nice airtime where the loops are now. I think it was a better ride in its original configuration.
cedarpointfangirl Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 King Kobra @ Kings Dominion. It stood in the spot where Ananconda is now!! Â www.rcdb.com/ig637.htm?picture=1
FeelTheFORCE Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 My first coaster with a loop was the Togo standup, King Cobra, at Kings Island.
knowit Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Cobra roll on the Sean Serpent at Moreys Pier. Talk about a first inversion.
pianojohn Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Corkscrew at Cedar Point in 1978. I had finally gotten the courage to ride the Gemini, and my brother made me go on The Blue Streak and Corskscrew as well. I wish I would have done the Jumbo Jet as well, but I never got the chance.
BossManXXX Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 viper at sfmm, that ws a painful ride, now i no y they call it viper
GhostRider16 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Mine was Motezoomas Revenge at Knotts. To think that I was scared to death to ride that, my brother pretty much had to drag me on it. haha
mudvayneimn Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 My first inverting coaster was B:TR at SFSL. It was during the year they were constructing Mr. Freeze, we were on our way out of the park, I noticed it and I just had to get on it. My cousin wimped out so it ended up being just me, by myself in the first row. I was a young one back then and as the gates opened I got that "I have to poop" feeling. But once the train crested the lift, I fell in love with roller coasters.
csikoth Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 My first was Screamin Demon, at Kings Island. All I remember is the steps to walk up to the platform.
sfotfreak Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Space mountain: mission 2 at DLP i was so scared
socalMAN123 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Montezuma's Revenge at Knott's. Also the coaster that got me hooked on coasters. ---Brent
swampfox Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Mine was Carolina Cyclone at Carowinds. I was 8 or 9 I think.
MG Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Rock'n Rollercoaster @ MGM studios florida. I loved it so much that my parents had to endure another 4 rides. I was about ten
alpengeist04 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I probably answered this back on page 5 or something, but I don't remember. Anyway, it was a long time ago so my memory is a little hazy. ...I think it was either Loch Ness at BGW or Laser at Dorney.
thrillgeek Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 mine was Kong at sfdk. One of the smoothest SLC's around
HEADCHEEZ Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Mine was Canyon Blaster At Adventuredome. And so far the only Looping coaster! It stinks being 13 and being the only person in the famly who ISN'T afraid of rides
