aeyrolet Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Lets not forget SALLY is re doing THE CAVE Yea, no. This isn't confirmed. But good try buddy.
conman1310 Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 SIX FLAGS OVER TEXAS CURRENT HAPPENINGS face book page
bigboy Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Yeah, that's not exactly what I would call a credible source. The guys that run that page are the same ones that were saying that a Power Splash wasn't happening because it wouldn't fit in that spot. Year round operation is going to be interesting. Weather in January and February varies wildly from year to year or even day to day. The best example I can come up with was the year the Super Bowl was in Arlington. Temperatures below freezing for 7 days with multiple snow and ice events leading up to the game and temperatures in the 70s and 80s later in the month.
conman1310 Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 yeh in texas if you dont like the weather just wait a minute
DoinItForTheFame Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 So excited for this addition! Behind the Great Adventure addition this is my second favorite!!! I've always been interested in this model, and I'm glad I'll finally get to give it a go! Solid addition to the park!!
Sportsdude360 Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 (edited) Since it's the only one of it's kind in North America people will be coming from all over to give it a try. Edited August 30, 2019 by Sportsdude360
ytterbiumanalyst Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Since it's the only one of it's kind in north America people will be coming from all over the Dallas metroplex to give it at try. FTFY. Okay, maybe that's not fair. I'm sure one or two Oklahoma families will stop by at some point.

bigboy Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 It's going to be very popular because it's a water ride in a hot climate and it's in a highly visible location in the park, but outside of pulling in enthusiasts that are hyper aware of this sort of thing, it won't draw in a ton of people that wouldn't already be visiting the park.
conman1310 Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 The million dollar question is will it have the turn table for loading, one car that holds 20 seems like a nightmare for load times much like the bob sled
i305isdaddy Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 It was already revealed that this does not have the turntable, because Six Flags. In Texas I assume this will be a very long line. They look incredibly fun.
michaellynn4 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 It was already revealed that this does not have the turntable, because Six Flags. In Texas I assume this will be a very long line. They look incredibly fun. Where has this been confirmed? None of the information released from the park speaks to ridership. Mack's website doesn't even list 1-boat capacity as an available option - it speaks to the turntable station as a key feature for the model: Turntable Station - In order to reach a higher capacity the PowerSplash is equipped with a turntable station. After the loading process the station is rotating the boat into the track while the other boat is loading with new guests.
JG-77 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 We don’t live near Dallas, nor Oklahoma.... and we will still make the trip to ride it. If you post regularly on TPR you don't qualify as representative of the majority of Six Flag's patronage.
bigboy Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 The renderings don't show a turntable. It's possible they left it out, but that would be a little odd since the renderings are pretty detailed.
Bamwa Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 TTS FB Page. SFOT Employee. Hopefully someone over there smartens up while they can. Dry ops too for a year round park would be nice.
Timh121 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 TTS FB Page. SFOT Employee. Hopefully someone over there smartens up while they can. Dry ops too for a year round park would be nice. What does TTS stand for?
CoasterGuy06 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Isn't the story though that this ride was designed for Six Flags Dubai? None of those parks come close to the attendance that SFOT gets, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was in fact only designed with one boat.
Vonni Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Personally, I will be very surprised if this ends up having a turntable.
DILinator Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 I'm sure this was discussed before, when Justice League was put in, and the former water ride was themed to Aquaman, but do you suppose with this major new addition going in over there, there's any chance Pandemonium is re-themed to something DC?

Cyborg retheme of Pandemonium anyone? Could be called Cyborg Cyber Spin in that case
DILinator Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 ^Wow! That would be absolutely perfect, actually! It wouldn't even need to be repainted to be themed that. It's almost too perfect not to happen, honestly. I guess we'll see if SF wants to put the effort into new signage or not...
