P. 625: Harry Potter Ministry of Magic revealed!

Recommended Posts

I cannot wait for this to be finished! I have never been to Florida, and Harry Potter alone is reason enough for me to visit Orlando. I will admit that I am a Harry Potter-loving dork. Whatever that huge building will be (hopefully a castle) is getting me extremely excited!

Sorry, I don't try to sound fanboyish too often, but if you mix Harry Potter and theme parks I can't help it!

Aww Man!

I thought they were going to email these tickets, not send it out in the real mail??

The only entry I won out of the 3 I sent was my parents house, and I am sure it would wind up in the garbage thinking it was junk mail

My master plan may have been foiled!

Can anyone put up a picture so I can investigate if my parents saw the ticket already?

Thanks, Big Mike

Jarmor-Im curious where you stumbled across that picture, cause if it is legit it looks like the dragons will be painted an interesting color combination in the sand and teal colors. Interesting combination. Does anyone know which dragons the scheme is based off?

EDIT: Nevermind, its off one of those cheap orlando ticket sites if I am not mistake. Regardless, nice find too.

Hatetofly- Nice find! I didn't know the castle was going to be on top of the already massive box! What will the box we themed, or will it just be the hill the castle sits on (In which case, would the mysterious ride be themed after Slytherin...possibly the chamber of secrets?)?

Thanks for all those updates guys!

hummm...is this an indication of dragons or am I reaching too far...

uh, Dueling Dragons already looks like that, at the right time of day… i'm almost completely certain that's just your typical “magic hour” lighting, which occurs right before sunset, and gives everything a sort of “golden” hue, as seen in that picture!

Well, uh, if hulk colors were also "golden" in the picture I would have chopped it up to that but since hulk is the exact color it is normally thats why I posted the picture!

^ I don't know if you know or not but that picture is not an actual picture taken at the park. That photo is edited because there is no way you could get a picture of Hulk at that angle with Dueling Dragons in the background. Same goes for Dr. Doom Fearfall. All of those are edited onto one background which could explain DD sunset colors and not Hulk.

Anyways, back on topic. It will be interesting in the next few weeks to see the steel supports go up to create this castle. Just like RRR, it will be great to see this building reach its highest point.

So by the sounds of it, the castle itself will be purely ornamental, and you wont be able to go in it

You WILL be able to go inside the Castle. From what I've heard and what's been mentioned by Uni, It'll have the Staircases, Great Hall, Classrooms, the new ride under the Castle, the House Dorms, and a Magic SFX show.

Oh, the the Magiquest system.

Not a whole lot, but work was going on. You could hear the drills and such going.

Update from Orlando Rocks

Focus seems to now be on the station:

Nothing new yet:

But will the rooms inside the castle actually be in it or somewhere more accessible within the building that's already there? It just seems a little impractical to make guests climb 100+ feet into the air to get inside...
