coasterbill Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I'd definitely ride it, if one were to be located somewhere I was going already. However, I don't care for the cylinder ride "vehicle"... Wake me up when somebody invents a body slide that can safely circumnavigate a vertical loop! This... Also the capacity seems like it'll be horrific
_koppen Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I'm sure there's crapload of engineering and safety on this ride, but just the thought of one of these capsules coming down the runout upside down would turn me of from riding it. Maybe in a few years when I have seen them operating for a while.
ScreaminNewEngland Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 The capacity on that is going to be horrible. The line will never move.
canadianparkfan Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Really don't think loops on water slides work. I tried the Aqua loop; drop capsule was great, loop not so much, and as stated before, there seems to be a pretty long list of problems with this new model.
viking86 Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 If it was a dry slide with wheels on the capsule I might do it. But just the thought of being strapped in a capsule, unable to move and with water coming in all around you, is seriously unnerving...
StealthFan Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 I would love to give this a go. I don't think there is enough rides these days that put fear inside me like this would. This plus that insane water launch seat contraption I would definitely have a go on.
KarlaKoaster Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 At least if it all goes horribly wrong you're already in a coffin.
canadianparkfan Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 ^ Seriously though, after watching the video, doesn't look all that bad. Anybody know German to translate the video? Lol
DoinItForTheFame Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 At least if it all goes horribly wrong you're already in a coffin. After re-watching the video, I have determined that there is no way in hell you would ever get me on that slide. There is just to much restraining you.
montezooma Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I’ve ridden it. The drop is insanely scary, the loop is a disorienting blur and it is surprisingly very smooth.
Midgetman82 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I’ve ridden it. The drop is insanely scary, the loop is a disorienting blur and it is surprisingly very smooth. Smooth? Not something I'd expect from this thing, but I'll take your word on it. The video about it puts me on the edge for many of the same reasons listed from others... but the creator(s), the German TV guy, and you have survived it. That's enough for me to give to a try, as terrified as I may be.
KBrylczyk Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I'm not terrified by the concept of this ride like many others in this thread apparently are, I'm just astounded by the fact that the designers ever even thought this was a good business idea. It has to be the most terrible loading process I've ever seen in my life. Verruckt had enough problems with their horrible capacity, but Verruckt will look like it has the people-eating capability of a Disney park compared to this. Yet another unfortunate case of "cool idea, absolutely horrific execution."
Midgetman82 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 ^Someone's gotta come up with the concept before it can be perfected. I applaud both for attempting something new and not copy-pasted in various forms and angles at different parks. On the flip side, I do think it would have been smarter to hold off on selling any of these to redesign a better capsule.
chargersmichael Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I honestly don't know what to think about this... After watching the video it doesn't look as bad as I thought...but it does look bad! That coffin box restraint...
KingRCT3 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Can we say that the coffin idea is thinking outside the box?
jedimaster1227 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 The only thing about that video that concerns me is the fact that his face was pretty close to the water line... And being strapped into the capsule, that's a little worrisome.
cfc Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Yep--that looks pretty terrifying. Not sure if it's for me or not (but I imagine I'd try it once).
nolimits Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kvx0Nn8MD1o Did anyone else notice the casual tornado in the background at 3:10? Lol
Ape Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Yeah that's not a tornado. I'd ride this. If i was a park owner i wouldn't want to buy one because capacity would be horrendous. This slide does look fun though.
TIMtationX Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 This is just crazy to me. I think at this point point it ceases being a water slide.
StealthFan Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 ^Well to me this is in the same category of water sides where you sit in a dinghy, but instead of it being a rubber dinghy its a metal enclosed one.
