Starting in the nineties, Six Flags placed Batman clones throughout the chain.

In the early 2000's, Six Flags dropped Superman clones in three of their parks.

What ride should become Six Flags's next clone? It can either be an existing attraction at one of their parks or it can be a ride you'd like to see Six Flags place clones of throughout the chain.

For me, it'd be be an Intamin Mega-Lite. I've never been on one, but it'd be cool to see Six Flags bring these rides to America.

If I had to choose a ride for them to clone that already exists, it would probably be Full Throttle. It looks like a fun ride and there are a few SF parks that could really use a major coaster.

I'd say x-Flight would be one to clone. I'm surprised we haven't seen more Dare Devil Dive coasters pop up in six flags parks lately.

I'd say lately the "cloned" ride which not really clones since they're all different heights is all the Sky Screamers they've been putting into their parks.

Question: "What ride should become Six Flags's next clone?"

El Toro. Clone it at every park. Including Great Adventure. Just build another one. They had two Rolling Thunders, why not two El Toros?

I like this idea. Then, Six Flags can buy Adventureland.

I could definitely see them plopping down a few clones Superman Ultimate Flight at SFDK with maybe some different themes.

Clones I expect: X Flight at SFGAm, Superman Ultimate Flight at SFDK, and Green Lantern at SFMM.

Clones I'd like to see: Full Throttle with a slightly extended ending so you don't hit the brakes until you have completed the Top Hat, and Bizarro at SFNE. Also, I wouldn't mind a Goliath at SFGAm clone or two.

I think it is just kind of weird to have a top ten coaster be cloned. Batman and Superman are good rides but they haven't ever made it to the top of any roller coaster polls. Bizarro is a top five ride and Goliath looks like it will be one as well. It'd be weird to see clones of them all over the US.

Seriously though, let's just think about this idea from a development, marketing, and operational standpoint here....

Development - El Toro is already designed, built, and most importantly PROVEN. The ride is about to enter into it's 8th season, still doing amazing and still getting praised by the general public and enthusiasts all over the world. Different landscaping would have to be taken into consideration, but for the most part, like the Batman clones, we all know what the ride looks like, does, and what to expect. The downside here is the cost. But I think after looking at the marketing upside, this would be conisdered a WIN!

Marketing - What the hell, Six Flags? You guys are all about marketing right? You guys are all about using the same names, logos, etc, for rides at different parks, right? (Hi Goliath & Viper, I'm looking at you!) Why hasn't Six Flags taken the "World's Number 1 wooden roller coaster" and make copies of it at EVERY SINGLE PARK THEY OWN, and then slap the "World's Number 1 Wood Coaster" ALL OVER IT! From a marketing perspective, it's genius, every single one of their parks could have their own copy of the world's #1 wooden roller coaster! It's a press release that's already written for them, and a commercial that gives them a guaranteed selling point. Why has no one at SF thought of this in the 8 years that El Toro has been around??? If they did this, it would be another WIN!

Operations - Aside from some issues the first year of operations (hi, it's an Intamin), how often is El Toro down? And it seems like it's not a "maintenance nightmare" like some other Intamin's are (You there, Kingda Ka?). I've seen then operate this coaster with 3 crew quickly and efficiently. Every time we've been at the park, it's butter smooth, running AMAZING, and doesn't seem to give the operations team that many headaches. I could be wrong, but it also looks like another WIN!

Seriously, WHY HASN'T SIX FLAGS CLONED THE SH1T OUT OF EL TORO!?!?!?

If I was in charge of the world, I'd be ordering like 15 of them and if we had a few left over, I'd put them into the water parks, too!

EDIT: So wait a second here... according to RCDB a Batman clone costs $10 million and according to the Wiki page, El Toro cost $12 million. So once again. WHY HASN'T SIX FLAGS CLONED THE SH!T OUT OF EL TORO!??!?!

What about a Cyclone clone at every park? Give everyone a chance to ride a replica of a classic. Small enough to where placing it would not be a problem.

They tried this already.

Six Flags Astroworld - Texas Cyclone

Six Flags Magic Mountain - Psyclone

Six Flags Over Georgia - Georgia Cyclone

Six Flags Great America - Viper

Only two of them still even exist and only one of them is even rideable. I think this experiment proved to be a FAIL which is why they finally stopped cloning them!

It wouldn't even have to be an exact clone of el toro. It just boggles my mind with how highly regarded el toro is that it is the only Intamin plug and play in the entire us. I would love to see six flags buy a bunch of these for some of their parks. They don't seem to mind spending 15 million or so fairly regularly to buy b&m's products.
