OrlandoGuy Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 ^What about floorless trains? It would be more interesting, I think. To me, floorless trains are actually pretty pointless. They're only effective in the front row, and even then that's assuming you're actually thinking about the prospect of the track being by your feet--but most of the time, I'm too distracted by actually riding the ride to care Really, even on sit-down coasters, your feet barely touch the floor (as seen in that picture above) so the whole concept is kind of a waste of research, development, and hype if you ask me.
DevilsFlight Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 ^Those are custom trains. I'm average sized guy and when I rode kumba, my feet touched the ground with a lot of room. It was very comfortable. They should do this to Green Lantern at SFGAdv

Youd think Id know that, IOA is one of my homeparks and the floor is very noticeable on the Hulk. The point remains though, floorless trains arent really the end-all of coaster vehicle styles.
A.J. Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I for one like the novelty of being able to kick...I mean conveniently extend my legs out toward the row of seats in front of me when I go through a cobra roll (see: Hydra).
Rollercoaster Rider Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Getting back to the topic... Since, It's rumored that it will be added in the Fiesta Italy area, I would like to see Busch Gardens Williamsburg add either an Intamin Gyro Swing (Giving Busch a much needed major league flat (I don't count Mach tower as a flat)) OR A B&M Flying Coaster. Something like Air/Tatsu with ground elements and terrain hugging should be great and sand-filled track should prevent NIMBY's from complaining. If not Italy, I wouldn't mind some kind of Interactive Dark Ride where Europe in the Air is?
DevilsFlight Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 ^Hopefully BGW gets a GCI woodie. They don't have one and it could bring people to Festa Italia. The only good ride there is Apollo's Chariot
ScreaminNewEngland Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I'd like to see my home park, Canobie Lake, get a gravity group coaster. During the ACE nor' easter they said that they were dried out with flat rides so now they were going to focus on bigger additions.
DevilsFlight Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 ^If they don't have some sort of megacoaster, one would be a great addition. Kind of like a shorter Bizarro at SFNE.
ImmelMatt Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 With Adventureland (Iowa) getting a Windseeker this year, their first ride investment since 2006, I highly doubt we will get anything next year, though I still hold out hope that a Eurofighter or El Loco will come one day.
ScreaminNewEngland Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 ^If they don't have some sort of megacoaster, one would be a great addition. Kind of like a shorter Bizarro at SFNE. Their height restriction isn't high enough for a mega coaster, something like lightning run would be amazing too.
DevilsFlight Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 So far, I heard that Six Flags Great Adventure is getting a wing coaster. My guess is that it'll be by the Chiller's area.
alpengeist04 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I really can't complain about any of the parks here in central Florida, but we can always use an Intamin or RMC coaster. ...BGT, are you listening.
FeelTheFORCE Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 It would be cool if Kennywood refurbished Noah's Ark for 2015.
cfc Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 How about Mach Tower replaced by almost anything else?
VF15 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I'd like Valleyfair to get a B&M (preferably an invert), but I'm also realistic and I realize that that probably wont happen for another 2 or 3 years.
CPSFMMCW Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 How about Mach Tower replaced by almost anything else? RMC Woodie Flying Scooters S&S Screamin Swing Star Flyer Windseeker Kiddie Coaster Dippin Dots Stand Yup. Anything.
AdventureJack Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 With Adventureland (Iowa) getting a Windseeker this year, their first ride investment since 2006, I highly doubt we will get anything next year, though I still hold out hope that a Eurofighter or El Loco will come one day. Hell yeah! That would be awesome but I think you are probably right. I think 2016 could be a ride but I can only see a kids or family ride to be honest. Crossing fingers for 2017/2018
jedimaster1227 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) How about Mach Tower replaced by almost anything else? Except with a Topple Tower. Edited May 6, 2014 by jedimaster1227
jedimaster1227 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 ^To be built, then break down and then be removed from the park.
ScreaminNewEngland Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I want to see a gravity group coaster come to my home park. Canobie Lake!
IronWolfman Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Elitches' 20th anniversary in its current location is in 2015 so I'm hoping for a new coaster.
805Andrew Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 One or more of the following: Intamin Giga Coaster, Intamin Megalite, Intamin Pre-Fab Woodie, RMC woodie, RMC steel redo of existing wooden coaster, B&M Dive Machine - at any park in LA area or SF Bay Area.
StarTrekGeek Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Universal: King Kong dark ride with an outdoor/indoor portion. SWO: A hypercoaster of some kind. Disney: Star Wars/Pixar Place expansion. BGT: Either an RMC Woodie or a Giga Coaster (whichever manufacturer is fine by me).
