robbalvey
I'm not a musical person at all but I would really like to see Book of Mormon. I'm not a parade person either and I do like the floats but can't stand the dancing and musical numbers in between the floats. And LOL, I didn't know what a Brony was nor such a thing existed until I read this TR and googled it. I really need to visit NYC besides the stupid airport for connecting flights. Well, you're in luck because Book of Mormon is currently in California between now and March 16th! I'd suggest getting tickets ASAP! http://bookofmormonbroadway.com/tour_page.php
IronWolfman
Looks like a fun Thanksgiving! I don't get to see many musicals except for the ones done by my high school ( ) but I think I'd enjoy Wicked and maybe Newziez as well.
Aceattack52
It's a good thing the balloons were allowed to fly! But it looked like they were having them lower this year than in years past.
cal1br3tto
I figured you guys would do something travel-savvy like fly home on Thanksgiving. I would definitely go back to Forcella. It really is like a savory funnel cake pizza.
TBpony414
Approximately how long is the wait time if you don't get to Lombardi's when they open? I will be just on a day bus trip to NYC and while we are breaking off from the group for the second half of the day I don't think we can be there by opening. If we show up at 1 PM, will we be waiting for 30-60 minutes? If it would be better to go later on in the day, say for early dinner around 5 PM, we could also do that. Also is the margherita pizza you recommended the one shown in your TR here? Because that looks amazing. Â What flavors of cupcakes did you get at Molly's? I checked out their website and they look delicious. I've never had different gourmet cupcakes before (which is probably why I love Crumbs - don't know any better) but would love to know what you had. Thanks! robbalvey
I honestly don't know how long the wait could be as we've only ever been there at opening or on one of Scott's tours. As far as Molly's goes, there isn't a bad cupcake, but the Cakebatter ones are amazing! Â Oh, and the Lombardi's pizzas pictured was the margherita and the sausage. PikaPika
Have you ever been to Grimaldi's Pizzeria? That's where we usually go when we're in NYC, it's awesome! Â What other locations did the pizza tour visit? Â And I get what you mean about Wicked. I'm a fan of the book series, but I didn't think it would translate well to a musical. Despite being a huge musicals geek I've never seen it. Â I bet KidTums would like the Shrek musical
Meteornotes
Ah, Lombardi's, I really need to get back there. And Molly's is certainly worth the visit too. Â Loved the report, especially all the captions making fun of terrible Bronies. There is no such thing as too many Brony jokes... Â dt
gisco
The pictures of the Pizza have made me really hungry. NYC is definitely on my bucket list to visit with a pizza tour.

better_by_design
Great report! We're going to NYC this weekend with my parents and this was a great way of getting even more excited! Â We took Scott's tour on a previous trip based solely on your recommendation and were NOT disappointed - great tour, great guy, great pizza! Â Saw Newsies in NYC last year and am extremely glad they're going to be touring the show - this is going to be a great success on tour I think - the name recognition should sell seats, and people are going to have their expectations blown away by the general awesomeness of the show! Â Thanks again!

cfc
Looks like a great time--I love NYC, too. Â Everything I've ever learned about the New York Public Library I learned from Ghostbusters! Just like at an amusement try for a late lunch (3PM) to have the shortest wait.
TBpony414
Robb and Larry, thanks very much for the pizza info. I'll keep my fingers crossed we can get in the door easily this coming weekend!
traincrossin
Sounds like a fun Thanksgiving! I've always wanted to go to New York. So cool to see Newsies as a musical now! I loved that movie growing up and wished there was a musical adaption for it so we could have performed it in school.
jray21
That is absolutely the best way to watch the Macy's Day Parade. I am not a parade person, so that's pretty much the only way I would watch it as well.

rosscoe
Glinda in wicked needs to die within the first few minutes, I don't think there has ever been a more annoying character in a musical. SharkTums
^Totally agree.
