larrygator Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) Just like we did for 2011 - 2013 this thread will serve as a place to house a list of "what's new" for 2014 at major parks and links to the announcements. BigBomer Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Was Thunderbolt not a Zamperla creation? Anyway thanks for putting this list together, it's going to be a good year for new attractions.
thrillseeker4552 Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Awesome list! And I believe Thunderbolt is a Zamperla creation, not Gerstlauer.
larrygator Posted September 1, 2013 Author Posted September 1, 2013 ^ and ^^ thanks for the reminder. I fixed the original post
cmullin Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Thanks for compiling the list! I always want to remember which parks are getting which rides, and this is perfect! Thanks again.
TyRush Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I really cant wait to see how Falcon's Fury turns out!
kylexy2298 Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 What about the two new water slides at SFMM's Hurricane Harbor?
DanM64 Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I don't see the SFA Ragin Cajun and Mardi Gras themed area mentioned.
_IntaMAN_ Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Don't forget that USH is also adding Super Silly Funland.
_koppen Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Also the Eurofighter for Adventure World, Australia.
Nrthwnd Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 The lineup for Europe looks great, right now.
larrygator Posted September 1, 2013 Author Posted September 1, 2013 OK, good catches on USH, SFA and Adventure World
BDG Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Europe Plopsaland - Plopsaqua (€16 million indoor water park) Walt Disney Studios Paris - Ratatouille (3D dark ride similar to Spider-Man & Transformers) Asia Universal Studios Japan - The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (copy of the area at Islands of Adventure)
downunder Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Australia Storm Coaster - Sea World: a water coaster like the one at Djurs Sommarland. http://rcdb.com/11059.htm
larrygator Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 Australia Storm Coaster - Sea World: a water coaster like the one at Djurs Sommarland. http://rcdb.com/11059.htm Since you are Australian, let me explain. The number with squiggly lines is a three, not a four. From rcdb: Under Construction opening 2013
Geauga Dog Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Though a very out of the way park Calaway Park outside Calgary, Alberta, Canada is replacing their log flume with a new one. They are having a naming contest. http://www.calawaypark.com/logride.html

djboss302 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 What do you expect of the Cedar Fair parks who haven't announced their plans for 2014? (Knott's Berry Farm, California's Great America, Valleyfair, Michigan's Adventure, Kings Dominion, and Carowinds)
downunder Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Australia Storm Coaster - Sea World: a water coaster like the one at Djurs Sommarland. http://rcdb.com/11059.htm Since you are Australian, let me explain. The number with squiggly lines is a three, not a four. From rcdb: Under Construction opening 2013 Please accept my apologies, it will probably open about 5 days before 2014 so I thought it might be worth a mention if it fell into a bit of a grey area beteen 2013 and 2014. 3 and 4, yep, they do look different.
megametal Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 What do you expect of the Cedar Fair parks who haven't announced their plans for 2014? (Knott's Berry Farm, California's Great America, Valleyfair, Michigan's Adventure, Kings Dominion, and Carowinds) Very little, sadly. Maybe water park improvements for all but Knotts, which I don't believe has an on-site waterpark. (Never been there.)
robbalvey Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Anything else new announced for 2014 that we don't have on the list?
Sir Clinksalot Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 ^^ Knott's does have an on-site waterpark but it is not attached to the park like the other CF parks that I've been to. It could certainly use something new.
torrecillailla Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 In 2014 we are having new attractions here in Spain: Parque Warner Madrid is building a new water park called Warner Beach. The construction will be divided in two phases, the first one is opening next year : http://www.parquewarner.com/sites/default/files/pdf/ndp_parque_acuatico_parque_warner.pdf Isla Mágica Sevilla will also build a water park: http://www.abcdesevilla.es/sevilla/20130516/sevi-isla-magica-looping-201305161402.html And PortAventura will have a new ride (maybe a splash battle), but it's not officially announced.
gisco Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Looking at the list so far there is nothing that really excites me maybe other then Helix. Does it seem like there are fewer coasters being built this year?
