The rumor was they also wanted the county to be in the "yellow category"  OC is still far away. Source for below: https://covid19.ca.gov/safer-economy/

Rumor is there are some high up California government peeps out in Florida, checking out the parks, and putting something together for your terrible governor who hates parks!

On Saturday 9/26/20, Theme Park Review was invited to experience the Knott's Taste of Fall-o-ween event, the next in a wonderfully endless string of events at Knott’s Berry Farm.   The event runs F

This will be chain wide. No way they are going to have multiple Platinum passes or just have it apply to select parks. The description confirms it's across the chain.

Looking like 2020 may not happen at all or be very very late.

This is really cool for Knott's to do! But also, they only had a few choices, because they sell Season passes, not Annual Passes. Their system can't make a pass that expires on any other date other than December 31st.

So, either they say you don't get any reimbursement, get a whole extra year, or send you physical comp tickets as reimbursement. So, they made the only reasonable choice they could.

I wonder if new passes sold right now would be good through 2021? Hmmmm. Maybe this will generate some revenue for them!

The thing is, looking at how things are right now you might only get September/October and Merry Farm free this year anyway. Most regional parks include those with the purchase of next years pass as it is. They are essentially selling 2021 passes at this point with a yet to be seen added bonus that is similar to what Six Flags and all other Cedar Fair parks offer with current year admission included starting in late August. Instead of refunding everyone they are guaranteeing strong 2021 season pass sales. If they refunded there is a chance those people would not buy 2021 passes either, so at least the park is guaranteed to keep their money in some capacity this way.

From a few post up. . .

I went ahead and renewed my plat pass and brought the dining plan. im looking at it like this, a worst, the parks wont reopen until july or so, that's still about half a season left for me (at carowinds) plus I will be able to eat that much more for one seasons price.

^Just be careful. Carowinds hasn’t technically confirmed this yet, so if you choose to make that assumption the risk will be on you. Seems likely, but best to get some official word before dropping over $300. Knott’s has always been treated a bit differently than the rest of the chain.

Edit: Actually, I think you could be onto something. If you purchase through Knott's, given that there is no restriction on the park in which you must process it like there is for Six Flags, they will have to provide the advertised service which is free admission until Dec. 31, 2021.

I figure since it's a platinum pass, they all have to have the same rules vs a gold pass. As well with the plat dining plan. It's the same across the chain.

^ I found it Andrew. Go to the EXPLORE sign on Knott's site, and Online Marketplace will show up far right, bottom of CONNECT list.

And here's the link: https://marketplace.knotts.com/?_ga=2.226607454.276761297.1494936970-1631816158.1494853987

And if you go to "Product Finder" on that page, you'll get two pages of their products!

Several of the items are brand new, meant to be launched at this year's 2020 festival. The Cake Batter Cookies, the type of Beef Jerky chips, the hot sauce, salad dressing and licorice, are some of the brand new items.

And I hear more is still to come on-line, so keep checking back.

Yeah, that was the one I was looking forward to the most. Knott's customer service is great though, working with them over email. Still holding out hope for some boysenberry wings.

^ I hope you can convince them, that the shipment had breakage.
