Judging by those photos, HH is going to be HUGE!

It's actually not going to be that big. Apart from the play structure there will be 4 water slides and a wave pool. Hopefully they will expand the new area soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if the first addition to the Water Park in a few Seasons will be Bonzai Pipelines.

They need a lazy river first.

^ Are they not getting one during construction? I just assumed that was part of the package....

^ Although HH is the absolute last thing I personally wanted at SFoG, I'm sure it will be a HUGE hit for the GP. Atlanta summers are very hot and muggy. Although Six Flags owns White Water, the parks are nowhere near each other - and neither park is in "Atlanta Proper." Six Flags is in Carrolton and White Water is in Marietta. Although not to far apart distance wise, in Atlanta traffic - the commute between the parks could easily be over an hour.

I'm definitely in the camp that the GP will love it and I will hopefully spend less time in line for the attractions that I like!

I still don't see why a Hurricane Harbor is needed when White Water exist. Especially if HH doesn't even have a lazy river.

In a hotter-than-hell, humid summer city like Atlanta, you probably can't have enough water parks.

^I agree--more people in the water park = shorter lines for coasters.

I'm all in for the water park as well. It means shorter lines for the main park, and everyone else is tucked away in a tiny corner from the people riding the coasters.

I didn't realize the two water parks were so far away from each other. I wasn't saying the park should've gotten a new coaster or something huge, I was just wondering why they needed two water parks right next door to each other, one included with park admission and one not. Now I realize they aren't so close together, so HH makes much more sense now.

I too at first was in the "Why two Water Parks in one City?" boat, but now I really do see the benefits. If you just want to go to a Water Park, go to White Water, if you want thrill and spills, go to SFOG. Plus it will give Families more diverse options. Mom can chill at HH while Dad and the kids are off Riding Goliath. I see the point, and the need now. And besides, its not like SFOG doesn't have any other space for new Coaster and Thrill Ride additions.

I just wish they would invest more in White Water. A lot of their slides and things are in need of some TLC. And they haven't added much lately in the way of new attractions. I think they're overdue for a water coaster.

How many waterparks does the LA Area, Orlando, San Antonio, Houston, or Wisconsin Dells have? You could add Sandusky if you want Indoor Waterparks. Supply and Demand

Remember, a FREE waterpark is replacing an unused Amphitheater. Why is anyone complaining?

Six Flags is actually in Austell. Which is about 45 minutes away from Carrollton.

^You would be correct. They'll probably still be working on Hurricane Harbor on opening day (like they were doing with Skull Island) which will be great for enthusiasts to get some great photos, but it won't open until it starts to heat up. And that's if they finish construction on time.

^I was about to say, Shockwave pulls more. Seriously, those loops are incredible. Most intense and amazing feeling in the world. One of these days I want to go and try out Mind Bender. It looks like a very intersting, classic coaster. The park looks great too.

^^It's amazing how high the boomerangs rank in G forces given that they seem nothing special. I got the feeling of pulling a lot of Gs more on Stinger at Dorney than on Sidewinder at Hershey.
