And as for the weather - OMGosh... It looks to be perfect weather. As of today, they've even dropped the chance of rain down to 10%! High of 73 and low of 51 for Sat! Couldn't ask for better weather after the heat we've had!

Love me some GASM - but with a cup of water...no chance of staying dry anywhere in the train. Well, except maybe the 1st row, where the water **will be** FLYING and spraying everyone else in the back the train!!

 

Well, I actually meant those seats will be the only chance to actually keep water in your cup. But yeah, no one is getting off that thing dry!

GASM has been really smoothed out since the last 2 years. Back in 08 or 09 it felt like it had square wheels but now that they retracked and added new wood all over it, it is much, much smoother than it was but with that bumpiness of a good classic woodie. Rode it yesterday and this challenge should be tons of fun. I can't wait!!!

Well my plans just changed for the better! Danny got a check for the balance of his financial aid on Saturday (surprise money!) and so I just added Friday night to our hotel! Now we don't have to leave Gadsden at 4:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hooray! So now we can be a part of any impromptu Friday night events.

 

I think this just made my entire day!!!

 

As for the perfect weather for the weekend, I can say I'm going to end up freezing... It's going to be 105 or so all week here, and if it's a high in the 70s, that's a good 30 degree temperture drop from here, not to mention, we're having lows in the 80s. Does anybody know of an outlet mall/real mall not too far from SFoG?

Any of the locals aware of how busy it may be on Saturday (during normal park hours). Just trying to decide if we are going to get a Flash Pass, and if so, which one.

 

I think we may just get one, want to make sure we get lots of rides in, but also want to do the backstage stuff as well.

^I'm assuming if the weather is as nice as forecasted it could be decently crowded. School is back in and Fright Fest hasn't started which will help, but you know the way it works, if the weather is nice the people will come!

The weather was pretty dang nice yesterday and it was only about a 5-10 minute wait on most rides if even that. Even Batman was only a one train wait and that NEVER happens. Saturdays generally tend to be a little busier but unless there are any groups there (besides us of course) then it shouldn't be too bad.

Well I can finally let the cat out of the bag, The Mighty Big Man, Big Mike will be in attendance at Deep South Bash!!!

 

Big Mike will be escorted to the big event by his beautiful girlfriend Megan!

 

This was a surprise birthday present for Megan and I could not spill the beans until now!

 

Looking forward to seeing everyone and sharing a lot of fun!

 

This park brings back great memories as it was the first full get together stop on The Big Mike Road Show ever!!!

SFOG is the park where Big Mike debuted the gold tour shirt!

Even back then, the hot babes flocked to Big Mike like crazy!

Some soon to be great friends also came to check out what The Big Mike Road Show was all about! Rich, Rick and Scott! All great buddies now!

Despite TPR folklore, Big Mike actually debuted the "signature move" in the UK in 2006 before Hot Fuzz Rich stole it on the trip.

Big Mike also did his first TV interview that day, first of many now!

SFOG also was the first place ever that some great friends checked off his tour shirt!

Big Mike can't wait for the walk through of Monster Plantation, since the last time through it was so much fun with some awesome friends!

Looking forward to seeing and hanging out with more good friends later this week!

Visiting one of my most anticipated parks in the U.S. (and for my first ever official TPR event at that), meeting lots of new people, Mindbender, Monster Mansion, Goliath, GASM water challenge, Brandy bringing cake...just WOW. Can't wait!!
