Hilltopper39 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 My new pet peeve (professionally) is people who go out of their way to tell you how long they have been doing something/working in this industry/ working on these machines etc. Just because you've been doing something for 20 years doesn't necessarily mean your good at it or that you know what your doing, and just because I haven't been doing this as long as you have doesn't mean that your always right and I'm always wrong. Â Also, I hate it when people (usually older people) give you their phone number and don't include the area code. I don't know where your from or where your cell phone is registered so just tell me the area code when you give me your number.
valleyfairfanatic Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 what bugs me is when people run up escalators, like seriously, you are on FREAKING MOVING STAIRS, the stairs are moving there is no rush. if anybody does this and it offends them sorry in advance
BigBomer Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I wish people would stop using double negatives. Â What do you got against double negatives?? They never done no harm to you........
caffeine_demon Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 What do you got against double negatives?? They never done no harm to you........ Â That's terrible English - you should say "They ain't never done no harm to you" Â Anyway - my rant is I got my new passport today, why is it that in this day and age they can't get a decent looking picture in there? The one I sent in doesn't look too bad at all!
imawesome1124 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 What do you got against double negatives?? They never done no harm to you........ Â That's terrible English - you should say "They ain't never done no harm to you" That's improper again. It's "They ain't never done did no harm to you."
XYZ Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 What do you got against double negatives?? They never done no harm to you........ Â That's terrible English - you should say "They ain't never done no harm to you" That's improper again. It's "They ain't never done did no harm to you." Â You mean "They ain't never done diddly squat for ain't no harm was ain't done never ever to ain't you or not anyone that ain't never had no harm for diddly squat done as they ain't never done diddly squat for ain't no harm was ain't done never ever to ain't you or not anyone that ain't never had no harm for diddly squat done as they ain't never done diddly squat for ain't no harm was ain't done never ever to ain't you or not anyone that ain't never had no harm for diddly squat done as they ain't never done diddly squat for ain't no harm was ain't done never ever to ain't you or not anyone that ain't never had no harm for diddly squat done as they ain't never done diddly squat for ain't no harm was ain't done never ever to ain't you or not anyone that ain't never had no harm for diddly squat done as they ain't never done diddly squat for ain't no harm was ain't done never ever to ain't you or not anyone that ain't never had no harm for diddly squat done as they ain't never done diddly squat for ain't no harm was ain't done never ever to ain't you or not anyone that ain't never had no harm for diddly squat done as they ain't never done diddly squat for ain't no harm was ain't done never ever to ain't you or not anyone that ain't never had no harm for diddly squat done as none other than no one has any no harm ain't been done to no one."
imawesome1124 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 The sad thing is that the one I posted is actually how a lot of people from this part of Maryland talk.
cal1br3tto Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I can't find the right speakers for my turntable. Why isn't this stuff all stored together?
SuperShawn Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 ^ That sucks. Â Ugh, sleept horribly last night, this is going to be a long day.
coasterkyle Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 The ignorant people that are upset over Coke's Super Bowl ad. An ad about how diverse America is and the reaction is the complete opposite.
gisco Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I can't find the right speakers for my turntable. Why isn't this stuff all stored together? Â What's a turntable?
Jon Sabo Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 ^Turntable is a large disk that looks like a plate. It is used to rotate your Porsche and Ferrari into your designated garage space.
arby Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 ^or it's a big thing that turns trains around or directs them to the correct bay for maintenance. Â NC Transportation Museum
azza29 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 ^Haha. I work for an organisation where IE6 compatibility is still important. Like it's 2003 or something...
jray21 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Our company still uses DOS in a major way! Almost the entire payroll, cashier, and sales system is exclusively DOS, and I know Lowe's did as well when I was there.
arby Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 ^ & ^^Wow! I still use DOS commands almost daily but not in a major way. There are some great commands that do exactly what you need with no overhead like ping, tracert, telnet, etc. IE6???
djcarrell Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 How about the guys who think they can just waltz on through the line to join their friends-AFTER they've already ridden the ride! Busch Gardens Tampa had that problem to the extreme!
arby Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 MORE SNOW?!?!?!?! ...and ice?!?!?!?! Â ...looking for a house in Florida.
Nrthwnd Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 "You leave your roller coaster attitude at home!"
VegasCoasterGirl Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 When you get creepy messages from a random TPR member who just want to ask you out.
BigBomer Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I've been dealing with Pancreatitus off and on for 13 months now and we still are trying to figure out what's causing it. Most recently (two weeks ago) they took my Gall Blatter out, thinking that may have been the cause and the pain that went away for a little while (although surgery pain took it's place) but now it's coming back. There's only one more thing the doctor said he could try if this didn't work and I'm not sure what to do with myself right now.
arby Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 ^sorry to hear that. We'll be thinking of you.
