Haha ok I misunderstood. But it also isn`t crowded with peoply most of the time .

I think the rides "mixup" is just about fine. That remains of the old Phantasialand. The new Phantasialand builds one big themed ride on a very compact space without interference of other rides.

It's a new kind of track, pretty much like what Gerstlauer did between the Eurofighter and Infinity. Now, the cross-ties are round instead of square, and yeah, there are less of them in the low-g sections.

I wonder why the track is still covered. Also, what's with the different crossties? It seems like Intamin skipped a straight one with every piece

The track is still covered because none of the theming is completed. The covering should prevent to get shotcrete or paint on the track. The track will be uncovered when all the rough theming in that section is finished. The mountain range is just a part of the whole theming.

Some more info has been confirmed (by the park) on a meeting of a Dutch fansite:

- Manufacturer: Intamin

- This ride is a combination of different elements from Maverick, Goliath (Walibi Holland) and Millennium Force

- The green wall with ivy is temporally.

I'm even more stoked right now!

This ride sounds better and better. I just wish they worked faster, I know they are working on it and as fast as they could but I want more track work I want to know how this thing lay-out is, this will look amazing when done.

What I love about this project is that it seems the park are not rushing it. They are taking their time to make sure they get it right then opening it when its finished to the high standard they expect. It is nice and refreshing to see a park do that.

Any update on construction? This ride looks fantastic.

Phantafriends has weekly updates with high quality photos, but not much is happening right now.

Mostly concrete work for the station and a tunnel, and more and more rockwork.

Looks really great now that some of the theming is starting to come together. Really intrigued by this project as I have no idea what the layout is going to be like. I really need to get down to Germany next year...

That is something we really don't get to say a lot these days. Most new coasters have their layouts released or leaked pretty early on so the fact this one hasn't been yet is great!

^^Excactly! I'm struggling to think of any major rollercoasters built over the recent years where the layout hasn't been released/leaked at an early stage. Maybe some of the stuff in China, but that could also be because I haven't been following it closely... It sure makes it very fun to follow the construction.

Being "in the dark" is fun!

I like the refreshing retro idea of "not knowing everything" yet. And it's great,

that a park can actually still get away with not revealing everything at once.

Two opportunistic burglars have had the time of their lives at Phantasialand theme park near Cologne, and without going on any of the rides. The pair snuck into the park during a party and reportedly stole almost €1 million in cash.

Saturday was party time at Phantasialand theme park near Cologne, as thousands of people flocked to the annual gay pride celebration Fantasypride.

But organizers will have suffered the hangover from hell on Sunday morning after finding the entire receipts of the weekend missing, according to reports in Bild.

The festival was jammed full of live music, DJs and even a wet t-shirt contest, but the main drama came from an unexpected source.

While the festivities were still in full swing at 11pm on Saturday night, a devious burglar duo managed to break into the ticket office via neighbouring buildings.

They then smashed a hole in the wall in order to get past the alarmed door. It didn’t take them long to make the big heist, as they knew exactly where the key to the safe was hidden.

The entire profits for the festival were inside the safe, and so the burglars got their hands on around €1 million.

By the time the guards discovered the break-in the next morning, the culprits were long gone. The police did not want to reveal whether the thieves were caught on CCTV footage.

At this early stage of the investigation only one thing seems clear – that the burglar duo must have received help from somebody on the inside, because they knew their way around so well

Hopefully these bastards are found soon. Of all crimes burglary makes me the most angry...Taking what other people earn through some kind of hard work.

And this will probably screw their having a Pride Party at Phantasialand, in the future.

and

I hope that's not the case. But still, this doesn't help for future planning. If any.

I don't see why it would stop them doing Pride parties in the future, but this is really bad news and it's incredible that they got away with quite so much money.
