Hattuchili
WOW, the helix looks great! It makes me much more sad from time to time that I can not ride it this year! --Sören
Nrthwnd
^ Well, don't worry Soren - even after you get back home, you'll still be able to ride it before (choking off tears) several of us, do. (Note to self: That helix is Da Bomb. Mmm - m! Wicked...)
coasterfreak101
Now this is what a invert should look like. Ditto! So, the entire coaster is taking place inside? Is that right? That coaster deserves the title of Nemisis: Part 2. No doubt. It looks extremely forcefull. Now, why can't SFA get a forcefull INVERTER (we don't have an inverted, just an SLC) like this! I cannot wait to see this thing in action!!!
redunzelizer
BTW: here's the full "hellicish" photo coverage from Lauf Forrest: http://www.onride.de/viewtopic.php?t=20134&start=256&7281

redunzelizer
Since there has not been any progress for months and not any pics have been posted yet, i thought i'd give it a try... http://phantasialand-bruehl.de/park/bilder_/b_jan06.html
Rikketick
And again an update, the coaster is almost completed. The 0-G roll is completed, if its still 0-G we have to see it's low! Only the wingover and a nicely banked turn under ground to the station and we can start testing, after all the theming is done? And all that goodness within 1 hour traveling ! © Onride.de | Lauf Forrest Helix completed. After the helix, turning right underground. And the low 0-G roll. Real
I bet itll have floater in it. Its VERY flat. Much like Hydra, Silver Bullet and if you havent noticed, Patriot. It seems like theyve opted for these much more elongated and gradual parabolas rather than the more pointed previous versions of yesteryear. If you compare those ZeroG's with any normal ones from the past youll see huge differences. The parabola itself is much flatter giving you more time at Zero G and taken at a faster speed. But that also means it has to be lower too. But I really think you will see some great floater with some great rotation.
Astat
That zero-g roll looks almost like the top of one of those double twists on an SLC, with how curved it is going in and coming out of it.
nynehalem
whats really interesting to me is that there are some supports that are almost fully made out of concrete, not steel. check a few posts up for photographic proof^
redunzelizer
the last glitches to be handled: http://www.onride.de/viewtopic.php?t=20134&start=356&7281 plus 1st wingover assembly footage http://tinyurl.com/b9uyo
rollerdude
wow. That is one sick ride. I can definitely see this: around the loop. I can see this around the 0-g: I can't even follow the layout because its half underground.
Dracosavant
This ride looks just plain nuts. I can't even begin to imagine how intense this ride will be, every single element of the ride just bleeds intensity. I really wish I could get a chance to ride it within the next few years..... DATman
whats really interesting to me is that there are some supports that are almost fully made out of concrete, not steel. check a few posts up for photographic proof^ Whith how (hopefully) fast it's going to go, it needs more footer than support, to keep the track from shaking horribly. Plius, some of it is just for decoration, as they are just building a concrete box around the supports (also see some of those pics).
redunzelizer
Impressions of already fixed glitches: http://www.onride.de/viewtopic.php?t=20134&start=426&7281
Real
Thats horribly funny that they had the footer off by that much. Oh well, glad it was fixed. It just still didnt look like that piece was set the first time round.
Steven24
I went to Phantasia Land about 5 months back I am surprised how much they have built in so little time. The park was desperately needing a roller coaster and this one looks awesome!
redunzelizer
Still disoriented somehow? Never mind... Urs Höer did a nice rendering, thus providing an overview of the layout: http://urshoeer.de/images/blackmamba_layout.jpg

coasters 4 me
I dont know if I have posted a comment about this coaster, but it looks like it it is going to kick absolute ass! It looks so compact, sleek and intense. And I love the way it goes under-ground in some parts.

redunzelizer
Dumpster the ride!!! Black Mamba is rumored to have two different trains. One for the true enthusiast devoties, the other for peeps failing at worship. The latter will directly pour riders into that dumpster!
