Nrthwnd Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 ^^ So this means, we will have to bring care packs of Cokes, when the 2016 China Tour heads towards/into Shanghai, yes Elissa?
KBrylczyk Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Shasta Cola is the way to be, guys! Also, Tron Coaster, hell yeah.
SharkTums Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 This doesn't even surprise me that much. China really is a 'Pepsi' kind of country. I'm assuming that Pepsi must have GIVEN EVERYTHING UP for this deal to get in a big foreign market with US Ties. Coke has too much pride for this crap!
DJeXeL Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 ^So just to be clear, you don't like Pepsi?!
robbalvey Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Ugh, this is terrible news. I realize this might not be everyone on this forum, but Pepsi is just the "Wal-Mart" of soft drinks and seems to appeal to that same Carnival cruising, Android using, Wal-Mart shopping clientele that I want nothing to do with. Like I said, I realize this doesn't apply to everyone, but there are stereotypes for a reason! And on top of that, Pepsi products are disgusting. --Robb "I'll be drinking bottled water during our trip to Shanghai Disneyland." Alvey
jedimaster1227 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 ^You mean Pepsi branded bottled water!
robbalvey Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) ^ Ugh, good point. Well, hopefully they will have some non-Pepsi parent company, although distributed by Pepsi products like Dr. Pepper or 7-Up. I HATE Pepsi and refuse to drink one of their parent company products. It's always an "absolutely OMFG is there REALLY nothing else??? Last resort" in any situation. There is a reason why people automatically ask for a Coke when they order drinks... A.J. Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 --Robb "I'll be drinking bottled water during our trip to Shanghai Disneyland." Alvey Character-branded bottled milk.
traincrossin Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Guess i'm the only one here who enjoys Mountain Dew. Disney is trying to cater to the Chinese market, it's their choice.
cfc Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 What this park needs is some Northern Neck Ginger Ale. Too bad it's a Coke-owned product that's only available in Virginia.
DJeXeL Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 All these parks that have Coke products but none of them have the best creation the Coca-Cola company has ever created......
SharkTums Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 ^&^^ Are you both 80 year old women? I thought that's Fresca's target demographic!?!?
DJeXeL Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 For your information! I like a Fresca to wash down my Metamucil!
coastercrazy216 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I am a huge Coca-Cola fan, but honestly, I prefer Sierra Mist over Sprite. I drink both, but I like the Sierra Mist taste better.
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 ^&^^ Are you both 80 year old women? I thought that's Fresca's target demographic!?!? It is really, but I have lots of older friends so I've grown to enjoy it. But really, I just love any Peach flavored drink, lol
gerstlaueringvar Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 That's a bad news! I hate all Pepsi products except for Mtn. Dew and Dr. Pepper. Another bad thing, Chimelong Ocean Kingdom is using Pepsi products at the park as well But they use Coke at their hotel.
LiMiT Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Way to go Shanghai Disneyland. In other news, guess who has a new freestyle machine in the student center cafe? My university!
jedimaster1227 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 The only benefit I see to this is to finally have a reason to say "Give me a Pepsi Free."
Meteornotes Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Yuck. Poor choice on this decision. I'm guessing Pepsi is giving away their product or close to it to have made this deal. dt
Mrlittle Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 That's a bad news! I hate all Pepsi products except for Mtn. Dew and Dr. Pepper. Dr. Pepper is actually its own entity with Snapple and 7up group. It is sometimes bottled by both Coke and Pepsi but most of the time its bottled right here in Texas. I only know this because I have a family member who works there. So drink all the Dr. Pepper you want.

I've heard Shanghai Disneyland also signed a contract with one of the worst cup noodle companies in China. Now we have to select carefully when it comes to both drinks and foods.
Jew Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I hope they'll at least bring back Crystal Clear Pepsi...
