xChris125x
So it just got boxed up and sent out and no one knows where it's at? Hasn't it been gone for a few weeks now?
matteocrepaldi
I found this today on Screamscape: Any idea? New track!
Homeboy23
^ Picture is not loading. Edit: Went on the website and looked at the picture. Before anyone jumps to conclusions and makes this thread crazy again, have they finished Carowinds track yet? It looks like a hyper track to me, it may just be for Intimidator. DBru
Intimidator is red.
Homeboy23
^ The track in the picture he is talking about is not painted yet.
matteocrepaldi
Is there any possibility of it being a part of a new coaster not yet announced instead of a piece of Intimidator?
Homeboy23
Don't think any one can tell until that one gets painted or Carowinds receives all of its track and that one is still sitting there.
themeparkman25
As long as it isn't painted red or yellow, then we will know it is not going to a cedar fair park. Maybe its the promise Shapiro made for SFMM.
DBru
Sorry, Homeboy...thought you were talking about the yellow track.
bokchoy67
I don't know if its been confirmed where the Yellow track is going. My guess is that its replacement track for Chang. I could be wrong. SC could also stand for Stand Up Coaster.
willh51
I don't think Chang would need any replacing, and I imagine they won't paint it yellow again, but Six Flags has done stranger things. Something tells me it's not for Freestyle Music Park's hyper.
Twister II
Has anyone mentioned Walygator? http://www.walygatorparc.com/2010.html 6 inversions 3 trains Inverted a twin brother at Cedar Point and pictures of other B&M inverted coasters... Raptor! Translation from Bablefish: His/her twin brother is based… in Cedar Point in the United States… 50 meters height Acceleration with 110Km/h 6 inversions with loop and gimlets 1200m of pure adrenalin A “toy” of only 1600 tons! A capacity of 1500 people per hour (given of the manufacturer) A superb architecture 3 trains of 32 places 2mn 28 of strong extra feeling! A fluid course… Incredible, gigantic, extra… ordinary, monstrous… superlatives miss to describe what you will feel… The Walygator park while obtaining this horse-gear with feelings will become the 3rd amusement park of France in terms of quality of attractions and will tend to become it in terms of frequentation. Waly and all the teams of the park are proud of this acquisition which will make it possible to raise very high the colors of Lorraine. Remain a suspense of SIZE ...... its name! technfxrick
I dont think they were building any of this track as "replacement" track, when else have they had to replace track on a B&M??? I think this was for a new coaster in China or Japan, and we just havent heard about it yet. Then again it may be replacement track for Black Diamond and knoebels is just keeping it hidden
atem122
^^Only Wallygator's coaster has kinda already been in existence for a few years... (IDK if that was a sarcastic post or not)
stormrider
I don't think Chang would need any replacing, and I imagine they won't paint it yellow again, but Six Flags has done stranger things. Something tells me it's not for Freestyle Music Park's hyper. Maybe. I've noticed that Chang is somewhat of a custom fit to the terrain. For instance, there is a downward slope into the second corkscrew/flatspin. Depending on where Chang goes, that could be a problem if it would be harder to change the terrain rather than the track. MattMattMatt
I doubt digging a few trenches would be more of a pain than making all-new track.
technfxrick
Found this on RCDB.com http://www.rcdb.com/8983.htm Looks like one set of track is headed to China. Seeing i doubt SC stands for flying coaster, the yellow track is still missing, but maybe this is for the other coaster that was at the yard. The Disneylander
A loop and a double corkscrew on a flying coaster?
coolhandluke
That sounds really great (I actually prefer the loop over the (small) pretzel loop, barely), although I guess it's not like it hasn't been done before.
The Disneylander
^ On a B&M flying coaster, I mean.
coolhandluke
^Yeah, I kinda thought so. And I would imagine the B&M corkscrews would be face-down, like the ones on Tatsu and Manta, not Vekoma-style. So it'll still be nice and unique. JEAPUgrad
I dont think they were building any of this track as "replacement" track, when else have they had to replace track on a B&M??? I think this was for a new coaster in China or Japan, and we just havent heard about it yet. I've been told when Dominator was relocated from Geauga Lake, a new lift was manufactured by B&M. Can anyone else confirm this to be accurate?
Homer
^I would only assume a new lift hill was needed because Dominator at GL was built as a "terrain" coaster of sorts and the lift was right on the shore of the lake.
technfxrick
The only reason i dont think that they needed a new lift is because if you look at this picture http://www.rcdb.com/4079.htm?p=21309 You can see them in the middle of painting the ride and it looks like the lift is faded orange, and it is then a clean shade of yellow in this picture http://www.rcdb.com/4079.htm?p=22798
JEAPUgrad
^Dominator was repainted before it opened at KD. I never did understand why they waited until the coaster was erected to paint Dominator? Voodoo/Posessed was painted before being erected at Dorney.
