jray21 Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Definitely 1000 times better than what it was before.
TXman308 Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) So it's only going to be 30 seconds long, but it will be 30 seconds of awesome OMG WTF moments. I wanna go back to living 5 min. away from this place. Edited January 21, 2013 by TXman308
coasterbear30 Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 All I can say to this is HOLY F**KIN' SH**BALLS!!!
SharkTums Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Don't forget, you can ride this and a ton of other amazing rides on the TPR Texas / Midwest Trip!!! Details here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/store/index.php?productID=184
SFFTfan Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 1000 times better and glad I only live 5 minutes away depending on traffic.
SFFTfan Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 OMFG!! I am so excited for the new rattler. That first drop is looking truly epic. I must say though I am a bit surprised at some of you guys saying you don't want to be in the back of the train... I'm hoping to be EXACTLY there when I get on this thing. The first time I rode the new Texas Giant I rode in the front car... it was quite fun, very enjoyable. The next time (and every time since) I've been in the very BACK car. The difference is quite breathtaking! I'm expecting this to be even more so... Just looking at this thing makes me smile The first time I rather ride in the front or towards the front so I can see where I'm going. I'll ride in the back after that.
John Peck Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I SHOULD move to Texas... no income tax... same as Florida and "possibly" soon to be Louisiana.
coastercrazy216 Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Is it just me or does 850 pph seem kind of low for an hourly throughput.
BigBomer Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Is anyone else as excited as I am for the Gunslinger?
jps294 Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Is anyone else as excited as I am for the Gunslinger? Im very EXCITED! I have always wanted to go on a Sling Shot and when I come back home in Texas from school for Springbreak I hope they have it open!!
SFFTfan Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Yes! I've always wanted to go on a slingshot ride
Me007gold Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Most of the 1st drop is done, and the pictures do it no justice, It looks SO steep. Tried to get photos today, but security was stalking me from the minute I got on property
ArizonaGuy Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Nice! First drop looks so amazing. I can only imagine what it looks like in person. Love the way the drop slants and drops to the left. Hopefully we'll see some new pics from inside the park from the bottom of the drop. Can't wait!
DougMJr Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 That red Iron-Horse track! Love the way it stands out. Lookin' good!
boardwalkbullet91507 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Regarding Gunslinger, I'm definately excited for it! However, we all know It's going to cost like $10,000 dollars to ride. Anybody know actual prices, or will it be the same as at SFMM?
The Great Zo Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 So it's only going to be 30 seconds long, but it will be 30 seconds of awesome OMG WTF moments. Yup -- and since it's short, it's just begging for some ERT...
Mrlittle Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 So I finally watched the video posted a few pages back. How come no one is talking about the most important thing from the video? Six Flags is theming the coaster. I love when parks add any kind of theming and there adding a whole story to Iron Rattler. I can't wait to tell my friends to call the number on the truck while in line.
ArizonaGuy Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 ^^ I agree. I like the idea of the theming that they're adding to the ride as well as the new entrance portal for Iron Rattler. I also like the fact that they are calling the new sling shot ride "GunSlinger" and the Wagon Wheel area is not going to be sitting empty. I like the fact that they are keeping up with the theming for Crackaxle Canyon.
SFFTfan Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Supports going up for the 1st over bank turn.
chickenbowl Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Awesome, the pictures are very appreciated!
jzoole Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 ^^^ I agree. They're not perfect (it's still Six Flags afterall) but SFFT is a cut above the rest of the parks in the chain when it comes to theming and retaining the different themed sections of the park.
