It amazes me how Intamin can make such ugly coasters, yet they are totally beautiful at the same time. That lift is honestly hideous, yet I love how it looks. Damn you Intamin and your ability to totally mind f%#k me.

It will probably look a lot better to a lot of people when catwalks are eventually placed on it. Like I said before, photos do not do this ride justice. The lift looks great in the, uhh...metal.

I guess "crest of lift hill" was simply too mundane nowadays.

Turbo Zone of Rapid Deceleration™ (brake run) is mine.

Our baby looks beautiful, and in every way. I almost feel like hanging signs up that say "It's a BOY!"

Way to go Steelworkers of Pennsylvania for making today happen... Now get to work on the remaining steel!

Once they put other things on the lift, (catwalks/track/other stuff), they can finally finish up that layout and get this thing testing. One step at a time, but I'm happy to see progress.

From the webcam image, you can see how nuts the drop and first valley are!

I don't care what roller coaster it gets compared to at this point.

It looks fantastic, and that's an end of it.

Hersheypark has sent us a press release regarding their Skyrush contest allowing participants to create a promotional animation for the ride that if chosen, could be used in their marketing campaign for the ride this Summer!

Skyrush, the 200-foot mega coaster opening for the 2012 Hersheypark summer season, is currently coming to life through the work of a talented construction team. Behind the scenes, Hersheypark is offering the chance for coaster enthusiasts to help share the Skyrush message by doing some building of their own. The “Hersheypark Skyrush Contest” offers applicants an opportunity to join the excitement by creating and submitting a video that could be used in the Park’s 2012 summer marketing campaign. The winning video will be highlighted at the Park and on http://www.Hersheypark.com. The contest winner also will receive a Hersheypark Season Pass.

To enter the contest, applicants should visit http://www.Hersheypark.com/contests/Skyrush_animation/index.php, where they’ll find a complete list of rules and a toolkit containing approved logos, ride specifications and music tracks. Applicants must be 18 years or older and all entries must be under two minutes in length.

The deadline to submit entries is midnight on Thursday, February 16. Videos will be judged by a panel of Hersheypark management on the following criteria: accuracy of ride experience, 30 percent; accuracy of background, 20 percent; excitement, 25 percent; and adherence to the submission requirements, 25 percent.

Visit this page for more information: http://www.hersheypark.com/contests/skyrush_animation/index.php

^Yeah, judging by the fact that you can't even see the second hill in that second picture on this page...if it's taken like how I305 takes its second hill, then this thing is already in my top ten and it isn't even ready to test yet!
