I live in Independence Missouri, a suburb of Kansas City. My "local" park would be Worlds of Fun (about a 15 minute drive), and I would also consider it my home park because it is nearest and dearest to me. I love Worlds of Fun so much, it might seem average to most, but to me there's some weird home park magic to it. It's kind of hard to describe the feeling I get when I am there. I know the park so well, I could walk it with my eyes closed. And Prowler helps the magic too.

As for other close parks:

Silver Dollar City: 3 hours.

Six Flags St. Louis: A little under 4 hours.

Celebration City: Closed

My local park is M&Ds, 'Scotland's Theme Park'. To put it bluntly, it's not very good.

Luckily I'm 3.5 hours away from Camelot and Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and I have family who live an hour away from Alton Towers.

My homepark is probably Seaworld Orlando since my family visits there every couple years. It's also the closest to where I live. But we do change it up every year to where we get the year passes to. This year we've been going to Busch Gardens. Here are the distances:

Busch Gardens- 2 hours

Seaworld- 1 hour

Universal- 1 hour 5 minutes

Disney- 1 hour 20 minutes.

40 min Chessington

1 hour Thorpe Park

4 hour Alton Towers

4 hour Drayton Manor

2 hour Legoland Windsor

You should visit us again. I think you would like SWARM. You should do a Wingrider Tour, going on all the wingriders in the world...

In the Bay Area

15 mins from Pixie Land

45 mins from Train Town

1.25 hours from Funderland

2 hours from J's Amusement Park (defunct)

I think there is a Six Flags and a Cedar Fair park somewhere around here too.
