I don't quite get where this coaster is- I see Italian Job- but I don't know where that is either- it was added after I was there last. I went to the park about once every two weeks in Summer 2004 I think- can someone tell me where this is in relation to what was there then?

It's behind one of the woodies. That's the Canadian Minebuster I guess?

It's like Cedar Fair disregarded Italian Job and built ride over it. If it was their park earlier I guess they wouldn't have that one coaster.

 

That one trim brake has more Gianovola looking track leading up to it. Steps to the trim brake are built into the spine.

Is it me or does that look like Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia? Not exactly, but it seems to me it kinda does.

I knew it was a hyper coaster when they announced it, but the layout seemed very similar to Goliath at SFoG

It is similar, but Behemoth is in a more compact space due to the water near it, whereas Goliath travels over roads and out of park land. Also, Behemoth has that tight hammerhead turn that Goliath does not have.

It is basically following the edge of the pond, behind the water park and minebuster.

Is it just me or does Behemoth have the same color scheme as Mantis? Maybe it is just the picture, but it sure looks like they have the same colors.

 

At any rate, this is looking like a great ride.

^ Behemoth has the same color scheme as Talon at Dorney Park. Mantis has red in the track, while Talon and Behemoth have orange.

 

Both color schemes are some of my favs, though!

^^Not quite. The top of Mantis' track is red, and Behemoth is orange. On that note though, it's spot on with Talon (sorry, I was beat to it):

The hammerhead is after the second airtime hill on Behemoth. The layout pictured is Goliath.

The layout is Goliath, and I was just showing that it's not really like Behemoth except that they are both out-n-back style coasters with hills and a helix. But the order and layout is completely different.

This ride looks rather huge, I will say that. And very photogenic!

 

I'd be thrilled to take this one for a spin, with the new cars and everything. Opening day will be a blast.

I keep forgetting about the new trains. I'm interested in seeing how they look on the ride, and if they provide a smooth ride experience.
