DiSab Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Millennium Force front row is amazing, especially at night during HalloWeekends. Flying through the fog rolling off the Fright Zone is like nothing else. Maverick is ridiculous. Falling out of your seat is just donright scary the first time. Magnum XL-200 has a fun drop. Gradual, starts out slow, then really kicks it into high gear about halfway down. From the back row, though, getting thrown over the lift's crest is crazy.

chrguy606 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Superman, krypton coaster was pretty wicked in the back, but I would have to say that one of the most unexpected great first drops is the back seat far side opposite the direction of the drop on the batman clones. Who knew?
coastered Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 My favorite firstdrop would be Expedition GeForce backseat. First you enjoy the great view from the lifthill and then with great force you are pulled down the first drop. But the strangest firstdrop i have done was on Sequoia Adventure (Gardaland). This is not really a firstdrop, but the first time hanging upsidedown is very strange.
Team Thriller Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Without a doubt. Expedition Ge Force in the back left seat! You will not be able to keep your hands up the first time you ride. You cannot imagine how insanely steep and fast it feels. And the airtime is unbelievable. The best way to describe it is being "pulled" down with the train at breathneck speed. 1.) Ge Force 2.) X 3.) Speeddeamon128 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Behemoth has my favorite first drop. It was jam packed with AIRTIME for most of the ride Millennium Force is my second pick. The first drop on MF doesn't have as much airtime as Behemoth but it is more intense.

Mavericks drop is pretty good as well, I don't think I have ever gotten so much airtime in the front of a coaster! ~Matthew

It's by no means the tallest drop, but the combination of the absurdly steep drop angle while doing that funky 90 degree track twist make for a very unique sensation. I'll give an honorable mention to Maverick mostly because its drop takes you completely by surprise considering the relatively short height of it.
Divv3k Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Yeah it doesn't really get much better than the first drop on EGF. Especially in the back left seat! It's the only thing that Piraten really lacks I think. The drop that's there is good but it just doesn't compare to EGF.

Raptor CP... The only B&M invert that i've been on with that kind of drop, sort of a twisting left dive while banking to the right over the midway, really cool feeling. Maverick CP... insane airtime any seat Vortex kings island... back seat has great airtime and still scares me to death

cycamps Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I'd have to say Maverick, Millennium Force, or Magnum. Other than Spongebob at MOA, I've never been on a ride with a drop like Maverick's. That beyond vertical drop is a new sensation. As for Millennium Force, that's the second tallest coaster I've been on, and the massive size of the drop does it for me. Lastly, I don't know what it is about Magnum, but despite being a little shorter, it still has a great drop.
