P. 2037: Siren’s Curse tilt coaster announced for 2025!

What can I expect wait lines to be for Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, Maverick, and Magnum on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in early September? Thanks guys !

Not trying to be a jerk, but why don't you wait until........oh, I don't know.......August next year to ask this?

This is one of two questions that really don't need asked anymore. It has been asked a million times about every park that someone could put together a spreadsheet for each parks operating days and estimated attendance. Quite frankly it is hard to judge from years past or even last weekend what it is gonna be like. The other question I hate is "What is the plan of attack" for _______ Park?" Just get up, go to the park, and ENJOY yourself. If it is crowded, be thankful....that is what keeps them going and adding new rides every year.

And remember, please stand behind the yellow line.

I have to agree with both these guys. I mean I understand you're excited....but I think even if you come up with an "attack plan" now you'll completely forget about it next year. And another thing, don't judge the coasters based on what you've read on here. The majority of us have been to cedar point and have mixed feelings about rides, and I think you should experience them for yourself, not in any particular order.l

^^^Really.

Realistically, just expect lines that are long and dreadful the whole season. Then if they aren't long you are pleasantly surprised, and if they are long you're not shocked.

I actually laughed at this, but that is true. If you do that, then you should be surprised if they aren't long.

TPOL offers a crowd expectation estimate every year. While these are still 2011's, I doubt they will change much, if at all for next year. Besides, isn't CP supposed to be rumored to offer the Fast Lane system like at KI in 2012? If so then it won't matter what the crowds will be like.

^Agreed. It's not like they'll have unlimited passes each day - it won't ruin your experience in the least. Besides, for people like me who are just starting to get out into the "real" world with jobs and whatnot, its not always feasible to take a weekday off to go to the park when they crowds would be manageable. The Fast Lane allows us to go on the weekends and not have to fight the lines. Like FORCE said, if its not your thing, don't buy it. But for those of us who would benefit greatly from it, I see no reason not to have it available.

IF they do it (which I still hope they don't), I hope they just limit it to certain coasters, limit it to a certain amount of people per day, and limit how many times you can ride a coaster (unlike KI where you can ride it and get back in line as many times as you want)

How come you don't? Personally I find front of the line passes to be an awesome idea, especially for parks that are known for huge crowds like CP. Most parks will limit the number of Fastpasses given out per day and limit them only to the most popular rides anyway so you can guarantee CP will do the same.

Maybe they'll reserve a row on MF, TTD, and Maverick for flash pass users? BGW uses that for at least AC, it works well, not to mention if the ride op is nice you can sneak onto it.

I kinda don't really like the way BGW handles their fastpass system (sucks standing in line for that row, only to find out that it's Quick Queue reserved and it has to go empty for another cycle).

I don't want them to do Fast Lane because of two reasons. First, I can't really afford it. It costs enough to drive there (gas) and for food, let alone the cost of admission. Second, the regular 'stand-by' lines can potentially become longer due to Fast Lane.

I went to KI this summer in late July and that was when they were just starting out to do Fast Lane; it hadn't really caught on so it didn't really effect the lines at all. However, if they bring this to Cedar Point after many people have heard about this, I'm assuming it'll catch on quick, resulting in many people doing it...and then effecting the lines...and as a result making the lines have a longer wait.

I'm not complaining (that's not what I do); I'm just stating my opinion and what I think might happen.

If done correctly this could be perfect and I'm all for it. I don't believe a fast pass system will affect the stand by lines very much at all. Those worried about lines getting longer will eventually notice it's not going to be as bad as they think it will be. Plus like others said, if you don't like it don't use it.

1. Aren't you a local? You should know when to visit the park for minimum crowds; therefore, you probably won't need a Fastpass and the Fastpasses shouldn't hold up the lines that bad if there is one (maybe you should bring your own food/eat outside the park to save a bit of money too).

2. If done right, Fastpasses don't really have an adverse effect on wait times (especially with high capacity rides). This is coming from observations made visiting my home park (BGW) during peak times like July 4th and HOS as well as dead periods. Lines will still be 45-60 minutes for popular attractions on busy days regardless of Fastpasses used. Plus the number of Fastpasses given out will still be limited and reserved for the most popular/biggest rides and attractions anyway.

If the lines turn out longer, they probably won't be that much longer.
