Chris Benvenuto
^ Point is, CP is NOT truely #1. Golden Tickets may say so, but that's due to ballot box stuffing and word of mouth, not for truth. I have a few parks that rank far higher then CP in quality, cleaniness, and staff friendiness. With some, overall they're alot better then CP will ever be. I may live two hours from the place, but it's not really number #1 in world despite what the GT's say.

STR8FXXXINEDGE
I made a little observation while at the park today. It's nothing exciting. It's actually disgusting and super creepy. It was the crazy infestation of some wicked looking spiders that were EVERYWHERE! I have had a season pass for CP every year since 1998 and I have NEVER seen anything like this. Today/tonight was actually the first time I've noticed it this season too. When I say they were everywhere, I literally mean everywhere. Everywhere you looked they were there. You couldn't lean or touch hand rails, fences, benches, etc. without touching them or having them crawl on you. I kid you not, there would be like 6 to 10 per square foot. I flippin' HATE spiders more than anything in the world. They looked identical to black widows, except they were brown. Has anyone else noticed this? Homeboy23
^ That would be interesting to see a spider get on a coaster train near someone who is afraid of them. You wouldn't be able to tell if they were screaming from the spider or the coaster
ginzo
^^Maybe they were brown recluse spiders. Check out what happens when they bite humans: *** Not for the faint of heart *** http://www.ascendedhealth.com/brown-recluse/bite-picture.htm
Cavs Fan
Eww. Day 10 is gross. Don't play mini golf. I am very scared of spiders and they are all over the plants. Also, birds attack you. I'd rather play mini golf at night when you can see the spiders in the light. Last time I was at Cedar Point, I leaned against the vending machine by that one store next to the concession stands. I got off of it and I looked and there where 2 of them. I asked my mom if I had spiders on my back and she said yes. I freaked out and people where looking at me. ginzo
^Note that we don't know what type of spiders are actually up at Cedar Point. My point is that spider bites can be very serious. Be careful, not afraid. Anyway, I'm sure the park will take care of any massive spider infestations. It's certainly not a reason to stay home. Im not sure about Sandusky but I know Brown Recluses' can be found in Ohio. Do you know if the Lake area is a suitable habitat for them Ginzo? haux
I doubt they're brown recluses. They're called "recluse" for a reason. They don't really hang out in the open. In my years of working and visit the park, I'd never seen a terrible infestation of spiders. I have seen bad webs when people don't clean them daily, but I've never seen what you describe. Do you have any pictures?
Team Thriller
Brown Recluses usually only hang around dry, dark, wood piles. --James

If you, or anyone else doesn't think so, then here's a simple solution...don't go to it, or even acknowledge it for that matter! No one is forcing ANYONE to go to, or even talk about parks they hate. Seriously, if one has such a huge grudge against Cedar Point, then why even click on this thread? I always laugh when I see the CP haters pop up in various CP discussions...funny thing is, it's always the same people!
stellaclose
Just got this on twitter from @cedarpoint (official Cedar Point) about 2010 project.... Calicoasters
Good to see the ride is being replaced by another water ride. One thing I don't like about Cedar Point is that all the water rides are on one side of this massive park. Though Maverick is an incredible replacement, the park now lacks my favorite water ride, the log flume. Water Coasters are a great ride, but the one I've been on left me too soaked! I guess Cedar Point isn't ready to be tied up with SFMM again
