Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

P. 2036 - Snake River Falls closing September 2nd, 2024

Recommended Posts

I have found the Raptor crews and Gemini crews to be fun. Maybe you just caught them on a bad day.

I check out the webcams on the website almost daily and it looks as though there is no "light" crowd days this year, according to what the parking lot looks like from the the cam on TTD. . Every day it appears to be very crowded.

I rarely spend the entire day there anymore, get there for the morning ERT and we can usually get on Maverick, MF and Raptor which leaves just enough time to go over to WT before 10am. Ride some flats, see a show, and when the park gets very crowded, we leave. For me, it is mostly about being with my daughter, coasters and rides are just extra.

PKI, we are headed to KI for morning ERT on Saturday, will you be working then? we will stop by and say hello.

^I do the same thing as you slither37, but of course for me it's at BGT. I get there at opening head to Montu first, then head to the back of the park and have Kumba to my self for a few rides, and finally end up at SheiKra for a few spins. I'm usually in and out of the park in 2 hours or so. Come to think of it, I do the same thing at Seaworld, USF, and IOA.

CP website showing that the addition, whatever it is, will in fact be on MF island.

I would guess a GCI or GG woodie, but we are talking about CF. My best guess: Either a coaster or a flat or a water ride. Really going out on a limb here! But a more accurate guess is that a large number of people will run the new ride down before it is even built.

Turns out it is a GCI woodie!

Could someody please give me an acurate idea about how many rides I will be able to get in on an August Thursday twilight ticket, on the good rides, like MF, Mav, and TTD?

Also will I be able to hit all those rides on an early admission on an August Friday morning?

And what is a good plan of attack there on an August Friday morning?

Thanks!

It's a launched Aquatrax with rings and fire and laser snake horses!

I would say (depending on what you pick) you'll get three to four big coasters in on Thursday night. Friday morning I'd start with Maverick, Millennium, Dragster, then Raptor. Park in the back at the Gemini lot so you won't have a long walk to Maverick. Hopefully if you get there early you won't wait too long. Millennium Force will ALWAYS have a line as will Maverick. Even on slow days in May I sometimes wait 30-45 minutes for Maverick.

Wow...thats so funny. I have never heard that joke before. How clever!

^Well Cedar Point's official Twitter page did have a single entry that said "Aquatrax?" Maybe he's not too far off huh?

*Edit*

I guess to add to my discussion that if they are indeed building an Aquatrax, which it certainly looks like they will be, I just hope there is a pretty good amount of theming

What ever Cedar Point builds i'm sure it will be great and I cant wait to ride it because i'm planning on heading out there next summer.

One question I have about the park though (and i'm sorry if this has already been asked) is if any of there rides have a hight maximum. I am almost 77" tall and I just wanna be prepared for the rides I may have to miss.

Cedar Point will be getting a GCI wood coaster. Yay, I was right! LOL.

Now there will be less reason to ride MS.

I will not guess the entire name, but will guess that it starts with the letter M.

It will also be "themed" to the wild west.

I believe the only rides that have a maximum height limit are some of the kiddie stuff. A good way to be sure of stuff like this is to visit Cedar Point's website.
