Lamoure
I thought it perfectly fit in SFMM!! Big, thrilling and extreme, but on the other hand i thought it was very rough and assraped me ! It's like a hatelove! SFMM should keep it in my opinion
RocketJet94
Well, we are back in the 80's again where they just shift coaster around and around without really making something new. SFMM is lucky in the sense that most of our coasters cannot be moved, in fact I think Deja Vu and Scream are th eonly ones what even have the possibility of moving to another park. I am so sad to see Deja Vu go but it could be worse because the other Six FLags parks will benefit even less because they get recycled rides without having an awsome collection already unless they are Gread Adventure, Great America, or Over Georgia. I just hope for two things if Deja Vu leaves us. The first, that whatever it is is as good or better than Deja Vu thrill wise and that it is permenant. I dont want some little rinky dink ride put on Deja Vu's footprint....I want a megacoaster that occupied Cycloon 500, the Junkyard, AND Deja Vu's foorprint. Â All I can say is that I am, once again, disappointed.
Gigalyte
I don't think SFMM is going to say anything until they have to, and I guess they have to Sept. 1st when SFNE announce that they are officially installing Vu for 2012. They height difference means nothing the Media get stats wrong all the time when it comes to rides/coasters. Why would SFI spend the money with Vekoma on a new Model Deja Vu thats even bigger then the first 3 they bought and would probably have even bigger issues being 267 feet tall . Â I know this is a dream...but I love it if SFMM could squeeze a record breaking giga in there, and then take the next 5 to 10 years even, just adding flats, maybe family coaster bigger then RRE and just fixing up the place making it more beautiful and rounding out the park. Give HH some love in that time also.
ryeder
So this supposedly is going to be put in another park that already has a boomerang type ride? Hmm, there's giant FAIL!  I wouldn't be surprised, there's La Ronde with their 2 Inverted roller coasters, along with Six Flags Great America having two wild mice. But the sad thing is, the last 2 roller coasters Great America added were wild mice, so at least New England is getting a major addition since what... Pandemonium?  Six Flags New England's just recently had a new addition and it is... a Wild Mouse. I can see La Ronde having two inverts, but Flashback and Deja vu have the same layout... it just seems pretty strange to me and I think some of the gp will notice because the two rides wil be so close togather

X2coasterfreak
I completely agree that Deja Vu and Expedition Everest are two of the best Vekomas. I'm upset to see Deja go, especially since it has been running so good lately! I just hope what replaces it is good, like a gyro drop, giga, or dive machine. I'm anticipating the parks October announcement!
UFAlien
Remember, this is also the company that put a used SLC in a park that already had a Batman. And oddly enough...both coasters has long lines when we were recently there. Â Wait... which park is that? I have seriously somehow missed this. coast4airtime
But SLC's and Batman clones give two completely different rides. SLC's are rough and shaky, but fun to ride (IMO), and Batman clones are some of the smoothest rides on the planet, they are intense and fast paced. I don't that having two inverted rides is a big deal. Cedar Point has Raptor and Wicked Twister.
the ghost
This made my day. I don't know what it was but I had one REALLY rough ride on it a few years back... it's been running better recently, but I still don't like it. The only thing I like is the vertical drop... and X isn't too far away and is a much better coaster with a much better vertical drop!
Gigalyte
The same can be said about flashback and Vu, one is a mildly thrilling sitdown and one is an extreme inverted vertical dropping beast. They may share the same elements but the ride experiences are nothing alike imo.
VinTheAttendant
^^^But take note, boomerangs and GIB give different experiences too. Deja Vu, you're below the track, 90 degrees, on a similar design that is taller, faster, longer, and smoother. It's like a boomerang on steroids. I'd travel miles just to ride a GIB. I would travel across the street for a boomerang.

Are you REALLY trying to convince me that a Batman clone and an SLC are as different as Raptor and Wicked Twister? Try telling that to someone who HASN'T been on 1,500 roller coasters.... DBJ
Entering a new crazy era for SF again. Along the lines of coasters that appear twice in the same park, take SFNE for example. Pandemonium and Gotham.., was the park really dying for a second wild mouse style coaster? Really weird that the height is so different though isn't it? I can understand being a couple of feet off, but 70? Also nice to see SF going for worst coaster name ever with Giant Inverted Boomerang.
coast4airtime
^^I wasn't trying to convince you at all. I was just saying that boomerang rides give more closely related experiences than an SLC and Batman clone.

Pandemonium and GCG are two totally different ride experiences. Pandemonium is barely even a wild mouse. It has what, two hairpins and then it's completely different from a standard wild mouse. And Giant Inverted Boomerang is obviously not the name of it, it's just what they said when they needed when they got permission to build it. When SFGAM applied for Chang, they said NOTHING about what the rides name or theme would be. All those details will come when its announced by Six Flags. coast4airtime
And it spins. GCG hurts you thighs and ribs. The drops are also pretty rough compared to what they could be.

Hayzle
I really think that Six Flags has a plan with these new guys in there. It seems like they have a plan for each park whether it entails the park closing one day (discovery kingdom and america?) or improving the park. They seem to be pulling out rides and moving them to parks that need them. Great Adventure needed to replace GASM or people would have thought why did it go? New England seemed like it needed a middle of the road ride and a top of the line coaster which they are adding in back to back years. The whole cyclone area needs a re-up so maybe by removing vu they can totally re-develop the area like GADV did with the golden kingdom and Kingda-Ka. I don't know but I have hope that Six Flags is turning a corner not just rotating rides
John Knotts
I love how enthusiasts brains work. Everything needs to somehow "make sense", when we know darn well its hardly ever the case where Six Flags is concerned. And for the record, boomerangs and Deja Vu while similar, offer a completely different thrill level. It also gives SFNE the option to now remove it now that they'll have giant version. acq10uaz
Premier is rumored to be making a new train for it. Â Does anyone know if Premier has made trains for Vekoma before or is this something new?
coast4airtime
^I'm not sure if they have but I've heard that too. I've also heard that they are changing the motor or something and upgrading it (something like that) so it will be less of a maintainance nightmare. BlueFireCoaster
The new ride will be about 267.6 feet at its highest  With Deja Vu at 192 feet tall, I don't see how the height of the rides match up at all.  I don't think it's going to be removed.
