Jew
Cedar Point has been claiming Superman isn't a coaster since 2001.
805Andrew
Has anyone seen this article? Cedar Point. Â Like to article. Â They just sound bitter. Do they know how S:EFK works? If Superman isn't a roller coaster than neither is Wicked Twister by their logic. Â Superman is a legit coaster. It runs on coaster tracks, it is launched and uses gravity to fall back to ground level. If Cedar Point wants the coaster record back then why don't they just build two more coasters. They could build two cheap ass kiddie coasters and have the record back. On another note maybe we shouldn't count kiddie coasters (ones adults can't ride without a kid)? Saying you have 17 or 18 coasters to ride at your park doesn't mean anything if I can't ride them all. This stuff is all relative anyway, so stop complaining Cedar Point, your park is still great and still on my list to visit even though you no longer have the coaster record for now. I've been at C.P. for the past few days on vacation and the employee attitudes are the worst I've ever observed. They just hate what they're doing. Not a good experience. M.M. employees are much better. I can't believe I'm saying this, but 6 Flags is a better experience all around.
PeoplemoverMatt
Cedar Point has been claiming Superman isn't a coaster since 2001. Â Yeah, and back then, their argument was Superman wasn't a complete circuit. Then Wicked Twister was built, and suddenly that argument vanished. Â It doesn't matter. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Cedar Point will never acknowledge that SFMM has more coasters than they have.
Schotcher
Well Demon Drop wasn't considered a coaster, and it had the exact same 'L' layout.
RocketJet94
thats silly though, its not the layout that makes a roller coaster. Its simple, if CP wasnt to remove Superman as a traditional "coaster" then wicked twister must also lose its title as a "traditional" coaster. An impulse is no more of a coaster than a LSM coaster. But then whis whole arguement is kinda stupid, CP fans shouldnt complain to us about Six Flags, they should complain about not having a new coaster since Maverick. Anyway, I think SFMM fans have enough to wish to improve that does not include changing classififcation:)
TJ27
But Intamin actally reffered Demon Drop as a Freefall not a roller coaster and besides magic mountain had one of those too so magic mountain still wins!
RocketJet94
exactly:)
harper83087
^^both parks "had" a freefall, neither do anymore.
RocketJet94
thus this arguement is pointless and no longer needs to be continued. If Deja Vu is not moved (which it probobly will not be, what do we expect to be their nrxt big move? S&S launch and drop tower?

harper83087
SFMM needs a drop tower and if they go this route I hope it's not S&S. CP's power tower is pointless to me every time I visit now, I don't even have it in my mind. The only intamin I've been on, I believe, is Drop Zone at KI and it remains the best drop tower I've been on.
mr. cockblock
425 foot Intamin Drop Tower please! Knotts already has an S&S Tower, so I'd say its gonna be Intamin!

harper83087
^did it hurt you at all? I'm curious because the one time I rode it I was hurting big time afterwards, both my shoulders and "no-no" zone. I seemed to have quite a bit of room in the restraints and got tossed around a lot. I'll give it another chance when I can but it does not have a good rap with me currently.
buckaroo234
Just rode GL and OMG!!! Loved it! Â Did yall stop on the MCBR for a good min before going. I felt like the ride would be awesome if it didnt just stop there.
Tmcdllr
I did not stop on the brakes but saw it do that a few times while I was in line. I had some room too and got tossed around a little, my shoulders are a little sore but not too bad.

I can tell you from my experience that my shoulders didn't hurt, but my lil' guys took the beating of their lives. That last hill is amazing, but unbearable on the ol' ball pit. harper83087
^those are my thoughts, I would absolutely love the thing if it didn't beat me so bad.
John Knotts
I also rode GL yesterday and had some awesome rides on it. The midcourse was slowing the train down but not stopping it completely. Also, the crews were kicking butt yesterday.
Fire2box
Well it seems extremely unlikely I won't be able to go to SFMM this weekend which was what I've been planing for months now. The problem is I have no one but me and my friend to take. I am guessing SFMM wants me to use all four VIP tickets at once, which I can understand. So, maybe I'll be able to use them during a "long" day at FrightFest. If not, they'll just be set back for last summer as a last ditch option. As I have to use them before the end of 2012. So once again i'm just frustrated on why it's seemingly so hard to get friends to go to SFMM with front of the line passes ALL DAY and then free food. Seriously, WTF? Â Anyways my two cent's on the deja vu rumor is. They can take it and viper out and build a coaster between the two. I forgot if there's a hill between the two locations but I know the rapids ride is in between them. However I'll admit this is unlikely. Why take out two okay if not good coasters only to replace it with one, losing money in the process. In any case I hope nothing happens to Viper or Deja Vu since I've rode neither yet. Tmcdllr
So today I noticed something about Goliath. I know normally the trims on the MCBR are pretty heavy but usually doesn't completely stop the train there. Well today, I saw several times, including the ride cycle I was on, that the train was completely stopping on the MCBR and being held there for almost ten seconds! Is something going on with this? Why would it need to completely stop and hold the train there for ten seconds, eventhough it had nothing to do with blocking as the other train was in the station being loaded. I found this to be really strange and it was not happening every cycle, but it was doing it with both trains no matter where the other tain was and even with it in the station. Is there a reason it needs to frequently stop and hold the train on the MCBR or is something strange going on?
atem122
^Posts about that problem seem to come up about once a month. Most likely nothing to worry about, cause it seems like that happens frequently.
Tmcdllr
So this is an ongoing thing then, ok, it made for an interesting ride creeping off that brakerun but still almost grayed out on the helix of death...it was still really fun just thought the stopping was unusual.
