WindexCyanide13
Is water included in the Sport Bottle free refill? like scottie said, tap water and you can get flavored water in the coke multi machines, but not just plain water in them. You can most certainly get regular water in a Coke freestyle. You just have to choose the grey button labeled water which is usually on the bottom left of the screen. SFMMGeek27
^Wrong. SFMM's machines don't give water. That button that is on all the other machines isn't there at SFMM.
coasterlvr
my buddy and i went out to Holiday in the Park tonight to check it out and get a couple rides on TC. i totally missed last year all together, so, didn't want to miss this year and at least see some lights. i thought it was pretty decent for Magic Mountain. by 6pm or so the park was pretty dead. it was cold, 52 degrees when we got there and a bit less when we left. top of drop of doom was dang cold. lol got my second dual duel on TC, and best one. kind of a bummer it was dark, but i was grateful it even happened. second ride, nada. oh well. got a couple pic of revolution. it was dark and all i could see that was different was the train wasn't in the station anymore. anyway, had a good time for a couple hour trip. screampunk district sign looks awesome at night. lol [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
coasternut
^ One of the most unique displays was the last video you posted JT. You stopped recording too soon. It's 3D and the moose is shooting snowballs at the mice climbing up the FT bar wall. I guess it's a tribute to the old Mooseburger Lodge that used to be in that building. The display is quite unique and entertaining.

LuminousAphid
got a couple pic of revolution. it was dark and all i could see that was different was the train wasn't in the station anymore. Is there any word of when New Revolution is expected to open? Just wondering for the trip I'm planning in late April! I would love to ride it, it would be my first Schwarzkopf (I was foiled by "no single riders" on other I had a chance to ride)

Think the park will be busy? i went on sunday the 29th late in the day. it was pretty dead. the parking lot didn't look like if ever was that crowded. the parking didn't seem like it ever got that crowded. just into the section past the picnic area. it was a very cold day though. dannyboy13
I'd be getting there pretty early in the day. My son has a judo tournament in Pomona on Saturday and I thought we might swing by on the way home for a couple of hours. Fingers crossed it will be slow
Gmaster562
Haven't gone here in years and I really want to visit. When do you guys suggest the best day would be? I wanted to avoid weekends but i guess the parks only open on weekends, and the two weeks for break.

I wanted to avoid weekends but i guess the parks only open on weekends, and the two weeks for break. If weekends are your only option, always choose Sunday. Get there in the morning, and head to twisted colossus and the back of the park first. No matter what day it is, I've always found that it takes people forever to make it to the back in the morning, so you can get half the park done rather quickly. VTown661
Finally it seems that SFMM was way ahead of the game and now all major parks... Disney... Universal....SeaWorld ... are all in a rush to install metal detectors. Seems that Disney's will be random until they "randomly select" 10 bravos in a row and then the poop will hit the fan. At Disney’s theme parks, guests will walk through bag check first and some in line will be “randomly selected” to walk through a secondary magnetomator portal before proceeding into the park. ioio
Anyone have a guess on what will be the lightest day to go? Sunday, 12/27 OR Wednesday, 12/30 Even though most people are off that last week of December, my guess would still be Weds being the lighter day between the two. Thoughts? Help? sxexaxn
Any ideas on how crowds will be on Jan. 1st? Anyone ever gone to the park on new year's day?
MagicMountainMan
12/27, 12/30, and 1/1 should all be decently light days. Honestly, the park doesn't attract too much of a crowd this time of year. The obvious exception being don't come on Saturdays.

MagicMountainMan
^So far the crowds have been pretty mild and all schools are out now. Parking hasn't once come close to filing all three sections of the main lot yet so crowds have been manageable. Last year was the same way, Saturday will be crowded, but that's about it. DoubleDown
I'd suggest going this week or next week on a weekday. From my experience (as MagicMountainMan said) crowds are pretty light and people are too busy with holiday stuff to take time to visit the park. CrazedZooChimp
I visited the park for the first time in a couple years last week, and had a question that I thought someone on here might be able to answer. Is there a reason that Goliath comes to a complete stop on it's mid-course brake section? I assumed it has something to do related to holding for the train to leave the station or something, but it didn't look like that was the case. Does anyone know? Thanks! Oh, also TC is amazing, I now cannot wait for Joker at Discovery Kingdom (my local park). Edited December 23, 2015 by CrazedZooChimp
