the ghost
I will say right now that in my opinion this looks like the best custom invert since Katun which opened in 2000... so it's been a while! This thing looks like it has awesome pacing, layout, and forces... very cool.
australianalex
Maybe I'm just seeing what I want to see in that POV, but does this coaster have 2 zero-g rolls? *books Eurostar tickets NOW* Seriously, this has to be one of the best layouts of an invert ever. The first "zero G roll" is actually a corkscrew. So strangely, the zero G roll is the final inversion of the ride.
KingRCT3
You're right. I wasn't sure if that bizarre inversion was a zero-g or a corkscrew, but while riding it, you doesn't experience zero-g. So it's a corkscrew to me, even if it's not shaped like the regular wing-over, it's a lot more smooth. EDIT : Here's a second video, with ew offride shots and a backseat POV. The drop is even more amazing from there!

UrbanLegend
The close-up of the zero-G roll (fourth from bottom) is close enough that it could conceivably be seen as a really twisty element on a sit-down. Now why doesn't B&M do that??

spinning man
I need to get myself down to Parc Asterix sometime soon. This is a very impressive coaster, for one with a old coaster type.
coasterlover420
To me, this looks like one of the better inverts B&M has ever come up with! The speed looks very impressive, and the first drop in the back seat looks amazing!
jmicha
Holy crap, those night shots are gorgeous. This coaster already looked fantastic, but that lighting package with all that theming is seriously immersive. I wish more parks were as particular about their theming as this because it really creates a distinct character for the ride. It's amazing. Dragon Khan
Holy crapolla ! those night pics are wonderful. Cannot wait to ride it in... less than eleven hours !!! This will be my son's first B&M !!!
larrygator
I missed this portion of the ride in previous posts. I love the way this looks. Is this a unique element or sequence of elements? Edited April 6, 2012 by larrygator
UrbanLegend
I missed this portion of the ride in previous posts. It's a loop and an Immelmann from a funky angle. It does look pretty sweet though
CoasterKings908
I already thought the theming was already impressive, but seeing it a night...JUST WOW! Parc Asterix, keep up the amazing work.

-Edge of Beast-
I can't get enough of this ride. After seeing some videos, I came to a conclusion that this might be the most intense B&M on the planet. The g-force is crazy, plus the pacing! Man, I really want to visit Parc Asterix and take this for a spin or two!
KingRCT3
It's not the most intense B&M, no. But maybe one of the most interesting! The g+ aren't very high beside Raptor for instance (but still good, don't worry!), but you didn't have any laterals or bad g's! Plus, you have some cool airtime, and the first-drop is amazing in the back seat. It's a new-school B&M, all in smoothness..
iplf
Seeing these amazing pictures, I'm kind of curious now about the operations of the ride... How quick they dispatch, how fast the line goes, how popular the ride is (it is France after all)...

Airtime&Gravity
It definitely looks like one of the better newer B&Ms. Some parts looked like they lacked intensity, like the corkscrew, but others looked like they belong on an old B&M. The layout also looked great with an unusual element order, and the theming, while cartoony, looks great.
andybarnes84
I think it's fantastic that they saved the best inversion for the end
attack7
That looks completely awesome and I can't wait to ride it this summer. I love a good B&M invert Really cool that the first element isn't a vertical loop also.
disneyfan1313
Wow! That looks awesome and quite possibly (dare I say it...) pretty intense! Love coasters with mist or water elements even when it messes up POV.
paulm12
Holy Sex! That is gorgeous! I'm definitely anxious to hear more reports about this ride; I've been following it since it was announced.
