  1. Well, yea, but MY opinion is right
  2. They did mention that the frequency of the refills wouldn't change from the current setup. So you'd probably have to wait 30 minutes between refills (I haven't done this at CP since 2013, so not sure of the timeframe here). Unlike SF, it sounds like you'd have your pass scanned each time you got a drink. That would make sharing unlikely.
  3. Interesting take on the drink program. It'd be nice to not have to carry a bottle.
  4. So that's what's gonna happen in the shed!
  5. Probably Batman at SFGAm. Or maybe Raging Bull. **shrug**
  6. Seems like a neat little coaster that will pack quite a punch for being under 90 feet tall... I'd hit it up if I'm around Central FL...
  7. Jackson Hole Gondola and Whistler's Peak2Peak > All... But that mainly has to do with what lies beneath them
  8. There is a lot of engineering involved there... It's not as simple as flipping the track 180* and having the supports bolt on the top instead of the bottom. I doubt there is anyone on TPR that is qualified to even begin to answer that question. Logically, I would think if RMC wanted to solicit bids for an inverted coaster they would have announced their method to go about such a project. I'd wager they don't have plans in place at this point in time.
  9. I guess getting to ride De Ja Vu @ SFGAm... At the time I had no idea the ride was having its many issues and would be on its way out... Also didn't know what a "credit" was at the time, so I didn't try to plan things out so I could claim that I rode something...
  10. - Santa's Village - SFGAm - Michigan's Adventure I have no idea why we're counting video arcades around Chicago as amusement parks now. The enthusiast community always amazes me....
  11. You see the Simpson's episode "Itchy & Scratchy Land" in a new light thanks to this hobby... Still not sure if this is a good or bad thing
  12. I'm old school and like incandescent lights... None of the new LED crap!
  13. This is hard for me to answer... It's like asking what's better: Steak or Pizza? Completely different things that can both be orgasmically awesome or absolutely horrid depending on how they're done. How do you compare the lift/drop on Fury or Millennium Force to the launch on V2? Each is fun in their own right. I guess I'd vote lift hill just cause I like being able to look around on a Giga and get a sense of the scale. You can't "sightsee" on Dragster or KA cause you're only up top for a few moments.
  14. Looking for fashion is your problem. Look into technical hiking pants... Brands like The North Face, Patagonia, Mountain Hardware, Under Armor, Marmot, etc. In the outdoors world, pockets are needed and integrated into the design. And they're still "Women's" pants. No "shrink it and pink it!" with these brands. I've found that these kinds of pants (Men's obviously) work great for traveling. They're comfortable, lightweight, breathable, and stain resistant. Pockets are prevalent and functional. The Women's pants are meant to serve the same goals. They won't be $19.99 in most cases ($70-100 MSRP/$35-50 Sale/Clearance price) , but are well worth the investment.
  15. Here in Chicago we have a little place called Kuma's Corner. They've been around for about 10 years now and are consistently at the top of any "Chicago's Best Burger" rankings. It's a very unique place in that the restaurant carries a Heavy Metal theme. Death Metal and dinner make a hell of a pair I give you the SOURVEIN: 10 oz. patty, Raspberry Aioli, Deep Fried Blackened Chicken Tender, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Sharp Cheddar, Belgian Waffle Strips, and Maple Drizzle.
  16. I'd be careful of falling down the stairs into the enthusiast mindset. Vekoma's aren't all bad. Ask an enthusiast to rip apart one of the Disney Vekomas and they'll call you a moron. Yet they'll turn around and rip the company a new bunghole on other installations. Most of which they've never rode in all likelihood. Form your own opinions on rollercoasters. If you fall into the enthusiast mindset almost nothing will meet expectations. You'll find that 3/4 of most parks should be burned to the ground according to most. Your mind will be made up before you get on a ride, and IMHO that sucks the fun out of this hobby. Exploring isn't as fun if you know the result ahead of time.
  17. Seems lately this thread keeps inadvertently focusing back on skyrides. I like it. And I know I'm not the only one. Kinda like Floaty McFloatface last year
  18. I'm on vacation and sampling some beverages, so I'll go against my normal feelings and do a list for SFGAm: 1. Raging Bull 2. Goliath 3. Batman 4. X-Flight 5. Viper 6. V2 7. Whizzer 8. Eagle 9. Little Dipper 10. Superman 11. Dark Knight 12. Demon The gap between Viper and V2 is pretty significant. Little Dipper holds a crap ton of nostalgia/sentimental value as I spent many a day at Kiddieland in the late 80s/early 90s. The bottom three can burn down tomorrow and I won't shed a single tear. Also, I'll never whore myself out to a ride like Spacely's.
  19. Finished the 2016 season on Superman at SFGAm n Sat. night... Wheeeeee!
  20. No worries Saw what we were getting into based on the Coaster Queue website. Went anyway and had a good time... Glad you enjoyed the park!
  21. Yea, this is a product of the excellent weather. Hope you're enjoying things despite the crowds.
  22. I arrived today just after 3pm today and it's been an ok day. Viper, Raging Bull, Giant Drop, X-Flight (Front Row), Batman, and in the que for Superman now. About a 45 min. wait avg. today.
