  1. Galaxyland at the West Edmonton Mall and Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America... just thinking outside the box (or should I say "inside")
  2. I personally prefer I305 over MF, but definitely prefer any Intamin giga over a B&M giga like Leviathan (totally non-biased opinion, considering CW is my home park). Although I have to agree with Benner, after seeing Shambhala on video, that B&M does have potential to make a top-notch giga, and could be just as welcome at Carowinds
  3. I rather like Magnum (more so than, say, the Big One at Blackpool), as clunky as it is. But, as a group, the Arrow hypers are not very good. Magnum is a weird one for me too... in the front seat its very painful, but in the back its one of my favourites
  4. Ultimate (Lightwater Valley)
  5. I saw Brad Paisley with Lee Brice at Darien Lake back in July... I'm not a fan of country music, but those guys put on a hell of a show (and you Americans definitely know how to tailgate party)
  6. Kennywood for Phantom Fright Nights
  7. ^ My apologies, I always thought "dark ride" implied non-coaster. Now I know, thank you
  8. Some more recent ones: Pleasant: - Hydra The Revenge - very smooth and maintains momentum throughout - Thunderhawk - one of the better Cedar Fair woodies I've been on - Steel Dragon (Waldameer) - every spinning car coaster should be like this one! Unpleasant: - Ravine Flyer II - I expected this to be at the top of my list, but fell a bit short - Skyrush - same as above - Black Diamond - this reminded me more of a dark ride than a roller coaster
  9. ^^ Where were you sitting on Gutbuster? I find it's brutal in the back seat, but much smoother in the front. Here's a few others: - Flight deck (CW) - Anaconda (KD) - Riddler's Revenge / Mantis
  10. Dominator... if only it had a zero-g roll
  11. Just an update: - Knoebels: pickle on a stick... why does this not exist anywhere else??? Greatest thing ever! - SFNJ: the boneless wings by El Toro aren't so bad - Knott's: fried chicken... n'uff said - Disney's CA: chili in a bread bowl - CW: apple cinnamon funnel cake
  12. I've been to Cedar Point twice this year, and both times, it seems that Gatekeeper is a bit of a lemon already
  13. The closest I've come was on Thunderhawk at Dorney Park, if only it weren't for the GF
  14. Flight Deck (previously Top Gun) at CW opened with a crazy long queue line (up to a 2 hour wait), even playing the movie on the TV monitors when it was still owned by Paramount. In today's world though, the lines are short and becomes an unfortunate waste of space
  15. Ones I've been on - In no particular order: - Millennium Force - Phantom's Revenge - Storm Runner - Dragon Mountain - Leviathan - anything at Busch Gardens - Wicked Twister - California Screamin' - Wild Beast - Ghoster Coaster (childhood fave)
  16. I second this one, I think it was originally spec'd at 6Gs?!
  17. Only one that I can remember: #100. Skyrush
  18. Son of Beast could have used a Rocky Mountain makeover rather than an all-out removal, but Banshee does look like a pretty sweet replacement
  19. I like Mean Streak but it seems to have a bad rap amongst woodie lovers
  20. 75 new coasters between April 2012 and March 2013
  21. I had one in a fictional park (I think it was meant to be CP) where a top thrill like ride launches 300 feet above the ground and there was a giant water park down below, really neat visual
  22. Ever visit a theme park or the city it's in and can't get a song out of your head? Here are some of mine: Kennywood - Black & Yellow - Wiz Khalifa SFMM - LA Dreamin' - The Stereos Knott's - I Hung My Head (Ghost Town Area) - Sting
