  1. Dominator for me, but that could change after I visit Florida
  2. Timewise: 1. Canada's Wonderland - 0:30 2. Marineland - 1:30 3. Martin's Fantasy Island - 1:45 Other Frequent Parks: 4. Darien Lake - 2:30 5. Kennywood - 5:45 6. Cedar Point - 6:15
  3. Since Maverick's slow upwards LSM launch has been disqualified by our expert opinionists here, I would like to revise my post by picking both Skyrush and I305 as the fastest "lift" hill I've been on.
  4. I hope it turns out like Shambhala. If Cedar Fair is going to create yet another B&M hypergiga redundancy, they should at least make a decent effort this time.
  5. Fastest lift hill I've been on is Maverick... I only argue that it's a "lift" because it isn't really a true launch either.
  6. If they could mirror-clone Ride of Steel back in the day, then why can't they just do the same with Bizarro??
  7. Even from across a major highway, Leviathan is still a sexy beast
  8. Kennywood and Hersheypark would be a perfect small-park blend of old classics and new hotness
  9. Mine Buster (CW) could really use a Rocky Mountain overhaul... plus a barrel roll over the water slides would be a sweet touch
  10. Overall for 2013: 3. X2 2. Phantom's Revenge 1. El Toro New for 2013: 3. Xcelerator 2. Storm Runner 1. X2
  11. I went on Dominator last summer, and my restraint actually unlocked while going up the lift hill. I jerked it down and it locked back up again. I was fine after that, but it was pretty scary for a second!
  12. The English language shall never yet again find such a majestic use of a keyboard and a single brain cell. Okay, this I agree with
  13. I don't get why people on here are busting the "GP's" balls. Aren't they and their families the ones who spend their money to go to all the parks and are largely responsible for keeping them in business? I'm not trying to "troll" here, but isn't there a difference between making fun of someone on Face Book for having poor grammar vs. being a total dick to them for not knowing as much about coasters as we do??
  14. ^ I was thinking a Steel Force-like helix to start the ride, then the big drop. Nice thinking
  15. I believe this has been disproven many times before... Okay.
  16. Leviathan was rumoured as originally designed for Knott's Berry Farm, but got switched to Canada's Wonderland at the last minute.
  17. Cars at Disneyland was absolutely sick... and I hadn't even watched the movie yet
  18. I went to Dorney this past summer. Around dinner time, it downpoured like crazy. Instead of leaving, we went to the car, put on our swimsuits, went back to the park and waited in line for Steel Force. Then the rain stopped, and we had the entire park pretty much to ourselves the rest of the night
  19. As exciting as TTD and Ka are, I treat them more like drop towers... they're a big shot of adrenaline but not much more.
  20. I dropped about $1,500 on SoCal earlier this year (SFMM, Knott's, Disneyland). Guess I'm a bit of a cheapskate here
  21. I also used to think the back was better. But now I find that airtime is stronger in the front of any coaster. Although in some cases you do get the 'whip" or 'pull' down the hills when sitting in the back (Behemoth is a perfect example of this). On Magnum in the front, I find that the airtime is so strong, combined with the restraint design, that it's borderline painful. For Magnum and Magnum alone, sitting closer to the back is much more pleasant. It's almost an art to find a sweet spot on a coaster, but when you do find it , it's amazing
  22. This killed Goliath for me. Although you're probably right about the G's. I first rode Maverick back in '07 but do not remember the heartline. I wish I could go back in time and do it again
  23. Hydra's heartline roll as well as Thunderbolt's two drops are my two favourites.
