Top 10 Video Games of All Time
Angle O. Descent replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Random, Random, Random
I haven't played in years, so my list is old-school: - Twisted Metal 2 - Super Street Fighter II - Tomb Raider - Mortal Kombat 3 - Super Mario Bros 3 - Super Mario World - Golden Eye N64 - Mario Kart GameCube - Sonic Chaos GameGear - Tetris -
For me, it all started with my first Cedar Point visit in '03. It was my first coaster experience outside of Wonderland as an adult...and it completely blew me away. From there, my interest in coasters grew exponentially. One time I was sitting at work on an early-April Thursday afternoon... and decided to go to Six Flags Great Adventure that evening. The rest is history

Most INTENSE Coaster Moment?
Angle O. Descent replied to EuroTre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My most intense coaster moment was when I went on Millennium Force for the very first time. I remember the first drop... then the overbanked turn... then I regained consciousness just before the final tunnel. It might have had something to do with our Canadian tailgate party in the parking lot hours prior -

The "Pleasant/Unpleasant Surprise" Thread
Angle O. Descent replied to cfc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just got back from Florida... Pleasant Surprises: Rip Ride Rockit - I didn't expect much from it, but it had some decent drops, turns, and airtime going into the brake runs. The on-board select-a-music was a neat bonus too. Kraken - Looked like a typical B&M sit-down, but it was pretty smooth, and you get a nice whip down the drop in the back row. Scorpion - I first rode this when I was 7, but I completely forgot how forceful it was. Unpleasant Surprises: Kumba - Good ride, but I found it to be by far the roughest B&M sit-down I've been on. It makes sense, considering it's been operating year-round since 1993. Cheetah Hunt - Again, good ride, I was just expecting a little more intensity like Maverick. Gwazi - This must have been the roughest woodie I've ever been on. Strangely not painful though. -
Best Ride at Universal Orlando?
Angle O. Descent replied to The Yeti's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Dragon Challenge Chinese Fireball was my favourite. The "hill" after the first immelmann was unique for an invert, plus the helix going into the loop had some crazy speed. For non-coasters, probably a toss-up between Spiderman and Transformers. Can't go wrong with 3D -
Well he can't say anything about it, it would be terrible if he did. But if history have taught us anything it is that Canadian only judges in a game involving Canada is to their advantage. The 2004 world championship final, and an real a$$hole Rob Niedermayer comes to mind. Really nice of those Canadian judges to overlook the Match penalty there, don't you think? Besides why would they only pick Canadian judges, surely there are competent NHL judges from other countries as well? If this was fotboll for an example something like this would never be accepted. Canada wins!! Great game by Sweden, and the referees were fair all the way
-
This was an excerpt from CTV news: All four men are experienced NHL officials. The IIHF says the officials were also judged on their performance during the playoff round in Sochi. "Their nationalities aren't considered as factors nor should they be, we want the best officials working the medal games," said (Konstantin) Komissarov. Sweden coach Par Marts isn't concerned that the referees will be Canadian. "I hope they do that job, that's all," he said. "I can't focus on thing I can't change. No problem with that." If Sweden's coach is not concerned, why should you be?
