  1. They both have kick-a$$ 1994 B&M Inverts. Hersheypark and Silverwood?
  2. Yesterday was my last day ever of high school. Graduation is this Wednesday! All my hard work is finally paying off, and I'm so excited for college this fall. Oh, and Grad Nite at Disneyland was AMAZING last night!
  3. ^^RMC would definitely have to redesign their trains/restraints for a ride like that, but it's crazy to think about. Knowing Cedar Fair, they're probably gonna slap vest restraints on it anyway, so maybe it's possible! Some part of me also tells me that this ride won't really have any huge gimmicks. It will just be a huge, fast, long, insane RMC that lives up to Cedar Point standards. It's really exciting to watch everything progress though!
  4. They each have very early 1999/2000 hyper coasters. Darien Lake and Six Flags Over Georgia Oh, and ^^^^^ SFDK does not have a coaster names Patriot.
  5. California Screamin' last night (technically super early this morning) at Grad Nite 2017! It was such an awesome experience.
  6. Gadget Go Coaster at Disneyland yesterday (finally got the credit).
  7. 18. However my count will increase quite a bit this year when I go to Carowinds and Kings Dominion for the first time (Afterburn, Vortex, Fury 325, Intimidator, Dominator) as well as Cedar Point (Valravn).
  8. At one point, they each had Gerstlauer spinning coasters. They both also have Vekoma Boomerangs. California's Great America and Dollywood?
  9. Nice report. I'm surprised you found Batman so rough. I think it is easily the most "overlooked" coaster in the park.
  10. Great news! Any word if the Miler is open yet too?
  11. I haven't ridden Thunderbolt, but from the sounds of it, Zamperla should really just stick to making awesome flat rides.
  12. This is something that I see all the time now to justify the plausibility of stupid bullsh*t and it drives me nuts. If some random guy comes up with some "inside information" straight out of their a** then the burden of proof is on them. We don't need anything refuting it. I honestly can't believe this screenshot of a social media comment from someone nobody had ever heard of gained this much traction. I totally get where you're coming from. I guess my philosophy was just "who cares." We have seen announcements around that time, so why spend so much time supporting or denying this claim when we know they're gonna announce it around August anyway? Whether it's the 15, 16, 17, 20, who really cares this far in a advance? The coaster is still coming in 2018. I'm surprised too it gained so much traction! I wasn't trying to come across as justifying that claim. My initial reaction was just "that date sorta makes sense based on Cedar Fair's history, but it's also pulled from someone's a**, so what's the point of arguing either side?" Guess I could've been more clear.
  13. I would wait to get the fast lane. Get there at opening and you'll probably be fine on the dry side. No itinerary necessary. This is the truth. I spontaneously dropped in for a few hours on a June weekday last summer, and I was able to ride every major coaster (plus a few re-rides) in about 2 hours. Unfortunately Talon was closed that day, but I rode Steel Force, Hydra, Possessed, Demon Drop, Thunderhawk, and Stinger all in that time, the latter two being the only ones I didn't re-ride because they sucked. You will have no problem at all getting on what you want without FastLane.
  14. Just a quick correction: Perilous Plunge was removed in late 2012, not 2010.
  15. Nice report! It makes me even more excited to finally get back to the park this July. I can't wait for Mystic Timbers, as well as the two B&Ms, Beast, FIrehawk, Bat, Delirium, Drop Tower, and all of their other awesome rides.
  16. I think it boils down to "Why did you paint this coaster that didntt need it yet instead of this other coaster that needed it more?" Also to make Riddler's look different than Green Lantern? Obviously for new people at the park so they don't get confused thinking it is just 1 ride or same etc? Is this actually a thing? The two rides had the same colors but looked completely different. Did people actually think they were the same ride because of the colors? Yes. I have heard it many, many times. Same thing goes with the jumble of orange coasters in Fiesta Village at Knott's.
  17. Very interesting that there is no Sky Cabin in the rendering. Of course, it's just concept art and should not be taken literally, but it's interesting nonetheless. I could really see it going either way. If they keep it, I'm not surprised. If they remove it, I'm not surprised.
  18. Well I think we have proved our point. We should probably stop...
  19. ^^^Banshee was also announced on a Thursday. And Valravn was announced on a Wednesday...
  20. Yes. My uncle, and several of my father's cousins. Have you ever been involved in a major car crash?
  21. There is nothing confirming that date, but there is also nothing refuting it. Announcements normally happen right around that time, so it's plausible.
  22. Nice report. We drove right by Lake Compounce on our East Coast trip last year on our way to Six Flags New England. We would have stopped had we had more time, but maybe a few years down the road. Boulder Dash is a must-do, and Phobia is a bonus as well. Thanks for sharing.
  23. I hope this is a typo, but if that is the truth, that is garbage. At this point, maybe they should rip out Coast Rider and use its land for the new coaster as well! All in favor, say I. EDIT: After reading the website more, it appears that riders above 44" can still ride with a supervising companion. The 54" applied to alone riders. That's still insane.
