  1. On the roof top shout it out.... ...baby I'm ready to go!
  2. Yay, finally. The old website was terrible for mobile devices. The new design is much better.
  3. Great report, as always. This park and everything else in Dubai is pretty much at the top of my bucket list, no question. Oh, and those POVs are
  4. I can see why you feel that way. Curved drops never really do much for me. I love the straight drop on GhostRider (yes, I know it's not an original GCI, but still). I'll pretty much take a straight wooden drop over any other claire curve on GCIs.
  5. Quick question: What is Carowinds' loose article policy? Are they strict with the use of l-o-c-k-e-r-s, or am I okay carrying a drawstring backpack in the queue and putting it in cubbies (if any) before boarding?
  6. No. Not yet, anyway! Does your home park contain a coaster in your top 10?
  7. Both have awesome, high-tech Mack coasters! California's Great America and Hersheypark
  8. ^My thoughts exactly! It is called the "Knott's Berry Farm Discussion Thread" after all... Anyway, I heard on Instagram that Mondial will be coming in sometime soon and tweaking Sol Spin's program to include a longer ride cycle. Whether that is true or not, I don't know. Just thought I'd mention it. I guess the short cycle was just a "test" phase?
  9. Disneyland next Wednesday with my school band AND that following Friday for Grad-Nite!
  10. Thanks for the mini report. I really enjoyed Joker at Great Adventure last summer. I still prefer the Intamin ZacSpins (I know, I'm crazy), but it's good that Six Flags is cloning solid attractions that are pretty much welcome at any park, being most don't have a 4D coaster.
  11. I was skeptical about Riddler's new colors initially, but it's actually starting to look really good. It's also nice that it won't blend in with Green Lantern as much either, since I have heard countless times from the GP that "it is the same coaster."
  12. I'm crossing my fingers for good weather for my visit as well on August 3rd and 4th. We've had lots of luck with our previous East Coast vacations... but Cedar Point's location can really make it unpredictable. We can always have a third day at Cedar Point as well, but it will cut into our Kings Island time. Hoping for the best!
  13. Those slides do look great. Please, report back to us in detail! Work is piling up more than I anticipated, so from the looks of it, I won't be able to go until the weekend of the 3rd. So close yet so far... I'm especially looking forward to the drop capsule slides. SFMM has had them for 3 years now and I still haven't been on them yet!
  14. He also posted that same link in the SFMM thread. I'm not sure why, but I'll leave that to the moderators since it is not my place. Anyway, I was noticing on the web cams today that Coast Rider seemed to be running a little faster than usual. Today was its first day of operation after its scheduled rehab, for what it's worth. The magnetic brakes seemed to be hitting less harshly, or maybe the cars were just filled with 4 adult riders most of the time. Either way, I just thought this was something interesting to point out. Some of the cars were really flying around the turns noticeable faster than normal. Edit: The park is open until 10 tonight, so you still have an hour to look at the web cams and check it out. They seem to still be running this way.
  15. Honestly, Wild One didn't do much for me either. It was by no means a bad ride (and it was not rough at all), but it just felt very average and not much different than other classic woodies I've ridden. I thought Superman, Joker's Jinx, and Batwing were all better. To each his own, I guess.
  16. I just saw a post on Instagram, and it reminded me. Why has Kings Island let Diamondback's seats get so filthy? I imagine they're "cleaned," but those seats and restraints need new foam ASAP. It just looks horrible.
  17. The new Knott's Soak City opens today. I'm hoping I'm able to head down there tomorrow, if all works out. It looks fantastic!
  18. Both have B&M Inverts from 1999! Hersheypark and Knott's Berry Farm?
  19. I just performed in my last band concert tonight, and while that may seem like sad news, I'm excited. I loved doing marching/concert band over the last 8 years and regret nothing, but I am so ready to flip the page and start a new chapter in my life working towards my career. Also, graduation is in two weeks! It can't some soon enough. I am so... freakin'... ready.
  20. Luckily, I don't have any super early morning classes my first semester this fall (got my schedule last month). I can't speak for future semesters, though. I'm jumping straight into a 4-year civil engineering program, so I image there will be times where an early morning class is inevitable. But I can enjoy my 10:30am classes this fall semester while they last!
  21. I hope Cedar Point never releases the official layout. I'm having so much fun watching it piece together, not knowing what will come next. It really makes it much more exciting to follow.
  22. That looks really intense... both with positive and negative forces. Vekoma is really upping their game.
  23. ^ and ^^ Both of these describe my life.
  24. Hoping to get out to Knott's Soak City for it's re-opening this Saturday, but nothing is certain. It's gonna be in the low-90s, so a water park sounds so nice. And it will be my first drop capsule slide!
  25. When you are playing an online game and you purchase a pet, and you're scrolling through the list of available names and you see "Tatsu", so you immediately click it with no hesitation.
