  1. I already have enough difficulty coming up with a Top 10 in the first place, so I have no idea how I would go about this thread. I guess X2 would be my #1, followed by Full Throttle. Magnum would be in there as well. Anything after that, beats me.
  2. Great report! Can't wait for more. I completely forgot Cliff's exists!
  3. Great mini-report. Based on my visit back in 2014, I have very similar opinions to you. The only two "bad" rides to me at the park are Vortex and Flight of Fear. However, I will be visiting again later this month, so hopefully one or both of them will give me a better ride than I had 3 years ago. It's nice to hear you say such positive things about Mystic Timbers... I'm really looking forward to that one. I love GCIs. Thanks for sharing!
  4. Knott's Berry Farm. Gotta get my family's drink plans all sorted out before heading on vacation to Carowinds, Kings Dominion, Kings Island, and Cedar Point! Less than two weeks!
  5. I don't quite understand the praise for Lightning Racer. To me it just felt very "average." It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I've been on rougher, but I've also been on smoother. Maybe I didn't get good rides (I did ride each side multiple times), but I've just never understood the praise for that ride. It simply felt like a very "average" GCI woodie. To each his own I guess. Or maybe the fact that the greatest, most precious Intamin creation in the United States resides at the park and puts every other nearby coaster to shame. Who knows! Oh, and great report! It's never too late!
  6. Basically any coaster manufacturer besides B&M and GCI could be considered a "renewed relationship," at least the way I see it. It was an incredibly vague statement. The 110-foot height is really messing with me. I was almost certain they were getting an impulse, but not so much anymore. Can't wait to see what it ends up being. If CGA and Knott's both get coasters next year, and SWSD is adding their launch coaster, plus Adventuredome's new ride and whatever SFMM and SFDK are adding, 2018 will be a great year for the West Coast.
  7. Part of me still thinks Stampede will be the name for RMC Mean Streak. I mean, it makes sense with their teasers about "they're coming." But who knows. Railblazer is fine if it ends up going to this ride, but I feel like it could be going to CGA as well. Guess we have to wait and see.
  8. You're absolutely right. I just took your post too literally because you said "seasonal maintenance," which is very different than "this is a new ride and we need to work out some kinks" maintenance. Seasonal maintenance hardly ever occurs in July.
  9. So you would like to remove a launcher from Premier Rides and replace it with a launcher from Premier Rides? I highly doubt that happening.
  10. I believe it's been closed for seasonal maintenance. This has already been addressed above. Seasonal maintenance? The thing was barely open for two months before it closed. What has me baffled is that there are no construction workers, engineers, or maintenance guys anywhere near the site (from what I saw when I visited on Thursday). Hopefully it opens up soon, because it is my favorite ride at Knott's when I have a good cycle.
  11. My first ever B&M Coaster was Silver Bullet, but by category... Invert: Silver Bullet Floorless: Scream Flying: Tatsu Stand-Up: Riddler Wing: GateKeeper (and my only) Dive: Will be Valravn in a few weeks Sitting: N/A Hyper: Diamondback
  12. ^I totally missed that. Thanks. Bummer, but hopefully the cycle is getting upgraded.
  13. Anyone have any news on Sol Spin? I heard it has been closed for a few days (hopefully due to it receiving the rumored upgraded ride cycle from Mondial). I'm heading to the park tomorrow and was curious if anyone knows if it's operating.

  15. If I recall correctly, I have been on 5 Schwarzkopf coasters: 1. Montezooma's Revenge 2. Colossus the Fire Dragon 3. Jet Star II 4. Revolution/New Revolution 5. Sooperdooperlooper Montezooma's Revenge definitely has the most intense loop (especially when going backwards), but Colossus is a more intense ride overall with the helices, so I call it a toss-up. Regardless, all of Schwarzkopf's coasters are pretty kicka$$.
  16. I can't. You aren't the only person I've seen with images appearing this way, either. I thought it was my device, but I guess not. Great report, from what I can tell through the text. Sounds like a good time.
  17. It's hard to beat the Disney rides (particularly Expedition Everest), but I really enjoy both Batwing and Firehawk. But I'll be riding Nighthawk here in a few weeks, so maybe that will change my opinion.
  18. So far I have been to: 1. Knott's Berry Farm (as always) & Soak City 2. Disneyland 3. Disney California Adventure 4. SeaWorld San Diego In a few weeks, I will begin my vacation to: 1. Carowinds 2. Kings Dominion 3. Kings Island 4. Cedar Point I am also hoping to head to Six Flags Magic Mountain sometime before heading off to school this fall, since I will be leaving Southern California. I will also visit Lagoon sometime before they close for the year as it is the closest park to my school.
  19. Nice report(s). I'll be visiting both Carowinds and Kings Dominion for the first time in about three weeks, so it's nice reading your report and your thoughts on the rides. I'm beyond excited for Fury 325 and Intimidator 305.
  20. Either Montezooma's Revenge or Silver Bullet, at Knott's. Probably Monte since I've been riding it longer due to the lower height restriction.
  21. Kingda Ka! After I ride both Fury 325 and Intimidator 305 for the first time here in a few weeks, I will have ridden the top 6 tallest roller coasters in America.
  22. I already posted my rankings for Knott's, so here are my rankings for SFMM. 1. Twisted Colossus 2. X2 3. Tatsu 4. Full Throttle 5. Viper 6. Green Lantern: First Flight 7. Goliath 8. Batman the Ride 9. Apocalypse 10. Superman: Escape from Krypton 11. Riddler's Revenge 12. Ninja 13. Scream 14. Revolution 15. Gold Rusher I left out the four kiddie coasters.
  23. This is great news! I've said it before: the world needs more Fun Spots. Maybe we'll see another mini-woodie there!
  24. I'd love to see this run 4 trains (separate load/unload station). But I guess it doesn't need to, since Twisted Colossus runs 3 trains and is roughly the same track length, and it eats through people. I said it a while back, but I'd also love to see this run 7-car RMC trains rather than the typical 6. That extra car could really have an edge on capacity, and we know that everyone and their mom will be there on opening day. Plus, the elements seem large enough where 7 cars would provide the same "whip" that the 6-car trains do on the smaller versions. Just my thoughts.
  25. Manta at SeaWorld San Diego. What a fantastic family coaster! I love the Mack trains so much.
