  1. I saw Overlord recently. I cannot express how many Nazis are punched in this film. If you enjoy seeing Nazis punched, kicked, shot with machine guns, and blown up with grenades, this is the film for you. We are Americans. We punch Nazis and we do not EVER bring them back. That's who we are and that's what we do.
  2. Stan Lee was the creator of the American pantheon. We were so fortunate to hear him speak at Comic-Con Kansas City a couple years ago. He was such a special man. He will be missed, but his heroes live on.
  3. Hey, whatever you want to do with an electrical outlet is ok. Good on ya for being brave enough to post that here. Four times though, that's a lot. Be careful you don't shock yourself.
  4. This is the greatest idea in the history of theme parks.
  5. Yeah, it's in Colombia....Not a place I would ever choose to go. Zambezi Zinger was great while it lasted. Glad there's still the one in Chicago.
  6. Well, it was the 90s. Mr. Freeze was younger and the culture encouraged him. These days he's gentle and makes sure he has consent. Thanks for the Wayback link, very interesting.
  7. Sweeet. Enjoy that Pacific Parlour Car!
  8. Reusable cloth bags. Potato or potato?
  9. The popcorn connoisseur? Putin's favourite arm-wrestling partner.
  10. Great photos of Tokyo Disney! All of this looks incredible.
  11. Oh bother, we've gone off the rails again. This rumour almost certainly comes from Mr. Freeze at Six Flags St. Louis. It was scheduled to open in 1997, but was delayed a year due to power issues. The St. Louis County electric grid wasn't strong enough in that area and they would have frequent rollbacks. So you know what they did? They paid Amren a sh*tton of money to upgrade the grid, and behold the coaster opened in 1998. And lo, did Six Flags cash in. If there's one constant in human nature it's that people are stupid, but if there's a chance to profit, we turn on ingenuity.
  12. Very fun! We went to a model train museum in Minneapolis that had an amusement park set, it was really great.
  13. Oh cool. Seems like a lot of simulators. Won't get me to come to New York, but certainly something I'd make time for once I'm there.
  14. SDC also had a $10 jump in both tiers of passes for next year. I'm still going to pay the extra $50 for all of us to go next year, and it's still going to be worth it. Those parks are incredible all year long.
  15. Your Tiger Trax writeup gave me a good laugh. Spot on. Glad you enjoyed the zoo; I thought it was good for what it was. Nice place to spend a couple hours for next to no money. They had some good food in their cafe too; pretty much Panera quality.
  16. I love the Air Race at Beech Bend but...you know, park with low attendance and a whole lot of space...pretty much the opposite of Coney Island in every conceivable way.
  17. Oh cool, some Disney in your Universal day. That bar looks fantastic, and agreed on the Kona IPA. Universal is much more for the walking around than the actual rides. Butterbeer, Duff, Moe's Tavern, those were the best things. For the rides, eh, Jurassic Park was good, otherwise, I don't have an itch to go back. Even the Harry Potter screen ride, fun as it was, not as fun as just being in that area and going in the shops, seeing the frog show, eating at Three Broomsticks. The stuff that's real is better.
  18. No, but the membership is practically the same price as a one day ticket plus parking anyway. Just get the membership.
  19. ^^ That's great news. ^ At this point, I'd say no. It could of course change, but so far I haven't heard anything about one day tickets being discounted, just season passes and in park merch: https://www.silverdollarcity.com/theme-park/Attractions/Shopping/After-Thanksgiving-Sale
  20. Not sure if this is like other Six Flags, but the line at Panda Express is shorter than other places, but it's also a place where you can get drink refills, and you have to go to the register to do it. So the line to order your food is always short, but then to pay takes forever as you wait behind the drink refill people.
  21. Wow, that looks pretty great. A no lines day at a waterpark is always a good time.
