  1. Yeah I really wouldn't mind if Boomerangs, Pinfaris, and SLCs were omited from the list entirely. The only SLCs I thought were noteworthy at all were Thunderhawk at Michigan's Adventure and Nor'Easter at Morey's, and in both cases, I'm sure it's just in comparison to what else is there. If they had a Batman, I doubt I'd even care about those.
  2. I've got some updating to do after this year. New in bold. 1. Skyrush 2. Steel Vengeance 3. Phantom's Revenge 4. Magnum XL-200 5. Diamondback 6. Nitro 7. Goliath (SFMM) 8. Mamba 9. Wild Thing 10. Raging Bull 11. Steel Force
  3. Haha, yeah that was pretty much my take on it too. I loved Steel Vengeance, but at the end of the day (literally) I went back to Millennium Force for my last ride of the night, and I think that says something.
  4. When we went on the last day of the Cowboy Festival, our bus driver announced that Lost River would be closing that day, and would be rebuilt and reopen for the 2020 season. So the park has confirmed it will be replaced with a new rapids ride. The rumour is that it will be similar to Infinity Falls. So for all you speculators, don't expect a new coaster until 2022 at the earliest.
  5. I've been to a Parques Reunidos park now! Six Flags: El Toro Cedar Fair: Millennium Force Disney: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Universal: Mummy Herschend: Outlaw Run Parques Reunidos: Phantom's Revenge EPR: X-Coaster Apex: Cornball Express Independent: Voyage
  6. Yes! Portillo's is always the way to end a day at Knott's.
  7. Ah, ok, I missed that then. That changes the recommendations entirely. Do Disneyland first, and go to the Fantasyland rides at opening. Still get Fastpass for Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion. Do DCA at the end of the day instead; since it's on early magic hour, most people will do it early in the day. Keep in mind that Radiator Springs Racers may be out of Fastpasses and also that DCA has no beer jail and I think you can figure out the plan.
  8. He's already said they're going on a Saturday, so Disneyland is open early, not DCA. https://disneyland.disney.go.com/guest-services/extra-magic-hour-early-admission/
  9. Yes! I forgot this isn't in Florida. You are required to ride Mr. Toad. It's totally your sort of ride.
  10. Oh sweet, have fun with that! I have done both parks in one day (in September rather than February if that makes a difference). Saturdays Disneyland has ERT for resort guests and multi-day ticket holders, so your best bet is to go to California Adventure first. All the big rides have Fastpass now, and it's easy to get around that park quickly. if you're just going for the ones that aren't in Florida, I'd suggest getting Fastpass to Radiator Springs Racers and going to Guardians at opening, then over to Incredicoaster, then RSR, then get out of there. Some people are going to tell you that's dumb and there are single rider lines, but you guys are going to want to ride together. Pirates is a beast and that line moves so quickly, you'll never stand. The boats go through so quickly they don't always have time to fill them all completely. It's quite a sight. Just do that whenever you feel like it. Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain are probably your best Fastpasses on the Disneyland side.
  11. Oh wow, Disneyland Paris is looking pretty good these days!
  12. That's such a great story! This man has his priorities straight.
  13. Dude. Batman yesterday. What. The. HELL. Honestly with the warm temps, muggy air and slick tracks everything in the park was running like I've never experienced, notably our ride on Superman. Mother of god, I've never felt a ride like that on a flyer. Full black out during the pretzel loop. And Joker was buck wild, Nitro was absolutely flying (we got a ride in a completely foggy downpour before leaving that was just unreal), Dark Knight was running with almost no trims, even Skull Mountain was in rare form. Lantern looked like it was hauling as as well but we didn't go near that POS. It was a great day for riding if you didn't mind a little mist and light rain, place was empty, all rides a walkon (except the Sky Way, of course) and they stayed open and ran everything til at least 8:15 when we left. Oh man, that sounds fantastic. Love those drizzly days.
  14. That's a good point, the noise from the compressed air system is and has always been a problem, and even though I'm not autistic myself it was really scary / startling being up close to that ride as a kid. I guess you didn't read the entire thread. I found it interesting how some people claim Autistic kids hate it and others claim Autistic kids love it. I sort of roll my eyes when "Autism moms" will claim their kids have special issues from other kids when in reality, it's perfectly normal for some kids to like a ride and other kids to hate a ride. Some kids don't mind loud noises, some kids are okay with loud noises. I'm not sure their Autism really has anything to do with it, but they most certainly seem to want to draw attention to it as somehow the removal of the ride is some sort of "victory" for Autism moms. I was happy to see other people with Autistic kids pointed out that they didn't mind the ride and in fact some of them actually loved it. It only just helps disprove the original posters ridiculous claim. I have a son with autism. I completely agree with everything you said here.
  15. Yeah that's pretty much it. Honestly Michigan's Adventure is fine. It could be more than it is, but it doesn't need to be more than it is, so it isn't.
  16. They have 2 locations. We went to the Fairfield ohio location. I guess the other location is not as big from what we were told. Good to know, thanks. That looks decently close to KI too.
  17. I'm sure there will be plenty of photos. Hopefully can get back to that area in a couple years or so, will be cool to see what they've done with the place.
  18. I see what you did there, and I approve.
  19. It means nothing. I took the survey too, and they asked me about a Mack Super Splash. Doesn't mean they're getting one.
