  1. That's pretty surprising to hear. I've never stayed there, but it always seemed to get decent business. Hopefully, another hotel will replace it.
  2. True! T-bird, Baron 1898, and WC The person below me has met the Alveys.
  3. I have sat upon every non-launched Schwarzkopf shuttle coaster in Mexico! Thanks to Robb and Elissa! Proof!
  4. False. I really enjoyed it. The person below me will be visiting a park in another country next year.
  5. This park can get REALLY crowded. When I was there, the line from the parking gates was backed onto the Interstate and then down the road a few miles (and this was the Sunday before Fright Fest started!). Mind Bender, Batman, Goliath, GASM, Superman, and Scorcher are the definite stand out coasters for me. Ninja and the Mine Train can be skipped if needed. As for non-coasters, I highly recommend Monster Mansion if you enjoy dark rides. It's adorable and absolutely fantastic (plus, it's on FP). Acrophobia is a fun "once in a lifetime" ride. It's a fun ride, but your man jewels will hate being landed on. The Riverview Carousel has a lot of history to it (Al Capone rode it), so it might be worth your time. It's a gorgeous park, and it's absolutely the most beautiful in the Six Flags chain.
  6. It's not quite as bad as the branded parks, but it's still very evident. On an unrelated note, I still think it's incredibly ridiculous to charge $20 for parking here. It's ridiculous enough at parks like Magic Mountain and New England, but it's very much over the top at TGE.
  7. ^^ This. Comet is a great coaster, and even its operations aren't the best. I think it was 10 minutes at Canyon Blaster for the ops to dispatch a train. It is a nice park, but you know you're in a Six Flags park when you're there. It's just as commercialized as the rest of them.
  8. I wouldn't call the Flying Coasters a failed concept. The Vekoma ones are terrible, but the B&M ones are excellent and very popular. They're smooth and forceful: exactly what people are looking for nowadays.
  9. Depends on the run and your speed. If you hit a mogul at a high enough speed, you'll get some air time. Hit it just right and you won't leave the ground. Just watch out for the trees!
  10. ^ Indeed they did. You couldn't pay me to ride T3 if it gets Premier trains.
  11. I've been on every coaster in West Virginia...all two of them!
  12. The picture is the one from Old Town. I just hope this is an addition and not a replacement for their Wildcat.
  13. ^ That butterfly inversion DEFINITELY falls into this category! I'm so glad Vekoma doesn't make them anymore!
  14. You could get your tickets through Undercover Tourist. They're not free, but they're cheaper than what Disney sells them for.
  15. The only one of my home parks I can think of with a rival is Lakemont. The competition between Lakemont and DelGrosso's is so strong that they're literally driving each other into the ground.
  16. True! (Especially those four-seater ones! ) The person below me rode Zumanjaro this year.
  17. Love that picture of you on that water coaster!
  18. ^ Sorry, I was wrong. Both getting woodies in 2015, then! ^^ Both have unique B&M Inverts. Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Michigan's Adventure
  19. ^ I just don't see an Iron Horse Mean Streak happening. Once NTaG opened, I figured Mean Streak would be #2 on the list. After the accident, I just don't see it happening. However, I wouldn't mind being wrong.
  20. Both getting Gravity Group coasters in 2015. Yokohama Cosmoworld and Kings Dominion (Let's see if I can stump you! )
  21. They're too smart to buy that dump!
