  1. On their Holiday in the Park page, they list what's open under "What to Expect." In my experience with SFOT's Holiday in the Park, if it wasn't listed, it wasn't open. Even then, they had several rides listed on the site that were supposed to be open, but then they were closed (and apparently weren't supposed to be listed as open during the event).
  2. ^ I was told by a park manager in May that they had no intention to get rid of it (nor had they ever wanted to remove it in the past). Needless to say, I didn't believe him.
  3. Foreigner must be pretty desperate if they're playing at Wild Adventures.
  4. This... this ride is criminally underrated by enthusiasts. It's also much smoother and better than the KI version. As much as I enjoy this ride, I had the opposite experience. For some reason, KD's made me really dizzy and slightly nauseous, which I've never had happen on KI's. I've only been able to ride it once, and I really want to reride this one.
  5. That food looks SOOO good! What were the prices like? I'll probably have to get that Prime Time Roll when I visit next year!
  6. Looks like a great ride. I'm glad to see Ireland is finally getting a respectable coaster.
  7. Tough call here. I think I'd have to give it to SoCal. I've only been there once, and I'd really love to go back.
  8. Great video, thanks for sharing! I remember snapping the one at Camden Park like crazy, scaring the crap out of my friend who was riding with me.
  9. massive racing/dueling RMC coaster. It was the best work of RMC so far and poised to be #1 on every enthusiast list, but something went terribly wrong on media day...
  10. Granted, but everything will be closed for rehab I wish they WOULD build a Son of Beast style coaster.
  11. but there was one person who wasn't about to let the fan boys get away with their war! The corpse of Ron Toomer rose from his grave and became a lich! He used his magic powers to COMPLETELY repair Cedar Point. He brought Cedar Point back to its former glory before Six Flags and its fanboys screwed the place up. There was much rejoicing! Once his ticker tape parade was completed, he turned to Six Flags and became angry. His next move was to...
  12. When I was there in May, they were turned forward again. The signs still said they were backwards, which really confused me. I really need to get back up here next year because Alpine Bobsled was closed during my last visit.
  13. Posted in this thread before, but here's the official answers: First: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at the Magic Kingdom on 1/26 Last: Skyrush at Hersheypark on 10/18 Not a bad way to start, and definitely not a terrible ending! Looking forward to next year!
  14. ^ I really don't know if you need to make them any more "gimmicky." I talk to a lot of people about stand-ups, and it's still shocking to them. Maybe you would have to if you built one in an area that has or had one.
  15. So I was looking at the Holiday in the Park ride list, and I'm really disappointed with it. I was thinking about driving down for it, but there's only three rides that I really enjoy that will be open: Scorcher, Goliath, and Monster Mansion. As awesome as a Holiday themed Monster Mansion will be, I just don't think it's worth the trip. If they decide to open GASM and/or Mindbender, maybe I'll make the trip. Also, since Acrophobia is going to be open...maybe an appropriate Holiday theme would be the Nutcracker?
  16. True. Two of them. The person below me has been to a Disney park outside of the U.S.
  17. Both have B&M hyper coasters. Knoebels and Lakemont
  18. Got myself a new pair of skis and a season pass to my local ski resort.
  19. ^ They're made in Russia, what did you expect?
  20. Awesome TR, Martin! Love your costumes, too. You know by wearing those grapes, you were just asking to be violated!
  21. ^ Until I rode Riddler's, SkyRider was my favorite stand-up. Green Lantern is a torture machine for me. I had a leg injury when I first rode it (smart, right?), and it was INCREDIBLY painful. Reriding it this year injury free wasn't much better. I'll gladly choose Vortex over Green Lantern.
