  1. ^ That's because Kings Island was a dump when Cedar Fair got a hold of it.
  2. Two suggestions: 1. Please turn SkyScreamer forward again (if it hasn't been done already). It just wasn't pleasant. 2. Maybe spruce up the mine train theming. It's pretty terrible looking.
  3. I think it translates to: 4210 ft long Aquatrax! The other letters are just there to throw us off!
  4. Fahrenheit - Hersheypark (97 degrees and falling...FAST!)
  5. Is anyone else considering getting one of the Watches next year? Even though I've never been a fan of wearing a watch, I've had a lustful eye on them lately.
  6. Personally, I find X2 to be smoothest in the last row. Revolution is better toward the front, and I LOVE the front seat of Superman. Batman clones are incredible in the last row, as is Full Throttle.
  7. Yeah, all three of these are tough. They all have great high-ticket coasters with great supporting casts. You really can't go wrong with any of these, but I'd lean toward 1 or 2, personally. You simply can't go wrong with Cedar Point; KD and BGW both have excellent coaster line ups and are both well-kept parks. I-305 certainly doesn't disappoint!
  8. I'm really glad they're renovating Breakers, and I'm especially glad they (it looks like) they're going to go all out. Can't wait to see it next year!
  9. I remember having lots of rides by myself on Sooperdooperlooper during Hersheypark in the Dark about ten years ago. Almost everything was a walk-on back in those days of HPITD.
  10. Definitely Revolution. I love the look and the design, but those restraints and the excessive trims. I didn't think anything could have a stronger trim than Goliath and Titan!
  11. Interesting concept. In my view, a zip line's appeal isn't what the line itself does, but the location.
  12. Pretty much all of the obvious ones that were mentioned so far plus Montana Infinitum at La Feria Chapultepec. That thing is INSANE.
  13. ^ Lack of parts isn't as much of a problem, as Premier advertises that they'll make parts for any ride.
  14. Avalanche - Kings Dominion
  15. ^ The best part is where the two trains crash into each other. It will create a nice portfolio of lawsuits for Darien Lake.
  16. It would also break records for the worst suggestion in the history of the Canada's Wonderland thread. You must have this confused with the Darien Lake thread. Am I crazy, or did that post just win this thread?
  17. ^ Oh. I don't remember hearing about that. Guess I was half right.
  18. My wild guess has always been that the next gigantic project for Cedar Point would probably be in the location of Camper Village. However, I don't know how popular it is, so I'm probably completely wrong here. Of course...I remember all of the ACErs speculating years ago how the next thing to go would be the parking lot. I think not.
  19. ^ Well, we know that it's a 255' drop at a 61 degree angle, so it's a simple trig calculation. If my math is correct (and it is), it should be just under 300 feet of track.
  20. Part of me hopes Cedar Point never does anything with Mean Streak just because it's fun watching enthusiasts bitch about it and act like it's one of the worst coasters they've ever ridden. The ride's not good by any stretch of the imagination but there are a ton of rides out there that are far worse. People only complain about it so much because it's at Cedar Point and it takes up a ton of room. Fun Fact: If you ride in the front and lean forward with your back off the seat back the ride is much smoother than Blue Streak (though it's a stupid way to ride a coaster). it's still boring, and Blue Streak is still better but Mean Streak is smoother so it's roughness is a little overblown. Mean Streak is nowhere near as rough as it used to be, and I can remember when Blue Streak ran A LOT rougher than Mean Streak ever did. I don't think a single enthusiast complained about it. When I rode Mean Streak last year, it was the smoothest ride I ever had on it. I've always liked Mean Streak, but if they RMC it, I won't complain.
  21. This is a really interesting project. I sincerely hope this doesn't turn out like that Universal park they started out there.
  22. I'll throw my hat into this ring as well. I've always preferred KD over KI, but for some reason, I go to KI much more often than KD. Cedar Fair has put a lot of love into this park and it shows. I will always applaud whoever decided to scrap that atrociously awful HyperSonic. One of these days, I really need to get back and experience some of my all-time favorites (I-305, Volcano, Dominator, and Grizzly).
  23. Granted, but that will cause you to be banned from TPR. I wish ALL of the over-the-top, wild and crazy, absolutely unnecessary speculation would go away.
  24. Found a couple more: Outlaw - Adventureland Roller Coaster - Lagoon Thunderbolt - Six Flags New England
