  1. Bought $15 worth of scratch tix and my usual Poker Lotto ticket, today. And so far, after scratching, I have won $28 and $6 in free tickets! And I still have the lottery draw tonight, so more $ might be won. It's the little wins that count, when all is said and done.
  2. This just made me go 'huh'... On the radio news, I just heard that vaccinations of vaccines etc etc. in BC are starting with "those 85 and older"....and "Indigenous people 65 and older".... Which made me immediately wonder.... Why the 20 year age difference? Do indigenous people pass away at an earlier age? That's all. I just wondered.
  3. ^ Great visit, Chuck! Glad to see you all had a great time for the season that it is. "Faith and beg ........ go find a greenish pretzel."
  4. It's great to me, that because of you-know-what, some of the independent parks and franchises are discovering that their (ahem) Main Street (usual) entry way into the park can magically be turned into an open mini-mall. Shopping and dining out. A perfect safe outing for all involved. And themed seasons, too. Perfect! I will actually take any of this, themed or not. Yum! (Knott's Marketplace Bakery~Sept.2019)
  5. Does this become an entry in the "Longest Coaster Name Ever" contest? I remember riding some Asian coasters back in 2013 and earlier, with incredible long names! Names all gone from my head, now. Age does that. All of the signs in local language didn't help, either. Thanks to Robb and Elissa for giving us their names in english, lol! (From one, whose home park's awesome wooden coaster is named ...... Coaster. <sighs> )
  6. Just finished doing my taxes, and it turns out I might get a few $$$ this time 'round! As I get older I am finding, that filling out the forms by hand (& mind) is getting tougher every year. But, I'm hoping I was good with all of it. And mailing it in early, means they can check it quicker ..... ...... and then the $$$ will go directly into my bank.
  7. ^^ & ^^^ Actually...I was thinking that maybe CP could build an Observation Deck in one of the turns of....GEMINI. Maybe the second turn above the loading station? Then it could be like a (separate entry?) Cheering Stand, everybody cheering the trains along? I think that would be awesome to climb stairs, and enjoy it! You may now continue, with your Fuji-Queue-ing...
  8. I know it can be just plain boring to do, but I remember that I kept checking every couple of days, on their site, to find out when tix became available. I'm retired, so that helped I know, with my getting tickets. Still, I suspect they'll release packages by the end of March, if not a little bit before hand. Maybe. Good luck to ya, getting them.
  9. Universal Osaka just posted their food offerings for their 20th Anniversary, coming up. Of everything seen, this one stopped me..... The American Dream Burger, found at Mel's Drive In in Universal Osaka. How many proteins can YOU count?
  10. So ... it's Austin for the Blues ~ the BBQ ~ and now the BIG coaster!
  11. Great! Wish I could go again. But I can't. Still hope that everything works out, both for organizers and attendees. Bert and Snoopy, with myself holding them up. After a Sunday afternoon of BBQ, friends and drinks at Famous Dave's. CoasterMANIA! 2017 Weekend.
  12. The first half of this one instantly reminds me of Taron in Phantasialand. But in this one, the rock work is so foreboding and "dangerous" how it juts out here and there, around the track. Wonderful shots of the whole area! Thanks for taking the time to stick with it, and get those test shots, LOL!
  13. Oooooh, one of these years, I have got to get myself down to this awesome Festival! And it's really a nice train ride down to the Buena Park area. F the rides and parks! It's all about Boysenberry! (Not a Boysen, but close enough.)
  14. Personally, and for now, I will go with Cedar Point for North America; Nagashima Spa Land for Asia; and _____________ for Europe. Still working on that. And...." Best In The World"....? I really don't think that's possible, even if only based on coasters. Everybody's opinion, y' know? Europa Park does have a nice share of coasters. TPR 2010 Europe Tour.
  15. ^^ Yay, great stuff! I am still wondering if there's any little addition or change to any of the scenes, etc. for this version? There's no restaurant beside the exit (with viewing windows), but whatever they figure out, will be interesting to see. P.S. All the times we/I went on the Paris version, we went into the right dome for the "1st scene". There are two of them, opposite each other.. But I never saw how they dealt with the "right exit" from the other dome, and what was on the screen. Neat that you got to see/film it, and that they obviously took that into consideration with how both dome scenes would work, in exiting into the pantry. SPOILER ALERT! Dome, dome de dome! How the Paris version layout goes, with the "1st Scene" domes. After ZONE MANEGE 4.
  16. Now listening to one of my absolute Go To CDs, in all the recordings I have.. LPs, 45s, CDs, etc. It's a classic. It's 1993. It's live. And it's Marc Almond! I love it, still!
  17. I'll buy the whole idea, if they put itty bitty wings on the cars' sides...and a small propeller in front, cause.....y'know.
  18. ^ We wanted to see all four of those films, "Raya/Last Dragon" especially in a movie theater. And "Chaos Walking" was intriguing to us for the cast, and the way the trailers have been done. Thanks for your input on them. We're still undecided... but then, we ain't got our vaccines, yet. EDIT TO ADD: Also, want to see "Soul" and "Onward" "Mulan"and a few 2020 others on The Big Screen again. I mean, once rules are in place and we can see movies in theaters again, why not studios bring back the ones that didn't make it there, the first time, due to you-know-what? I know people would flock to the complexes again. Not huge numbers. But you never know hmmm?....
  19. ^ Oh okay. Just guess I am reading particular threads too many times, heh. Still, even picking that date for any opening. I wouldn't do it. Not that I'm superstitious or something silly like that......
  20. I am finding it fascinating, that on The Day of All Days....April 1st (usually called April Fools Day?), that this is The Opening Day for a lot of parks around the USA. And I am really hoping that it is indeed, NOT such a thing they're all pulling, en masse. It's too Big a Deal to pull on the gp. They'll riot.
  21. After my first trip to Japan in 1972 (incl. Fuji-Queue Highland + Hanayashiki parks) ..... NOT immediately learning Japanese, and thus, NOT (probably, I am that sure) getting hired by Disney for their new, first ever, overseas park, in 1983. I mean, a non-local, Japanese-speaking Cast Member? Would have been golden for them...... ...... And I'd want to be hired, as a Jungle Cruise Skipper! Hmmmph.
  22. I would really REALLY like to see a TR on this Event. Shots of cars, standing still. Awesome. We've had a "Car Show" at the PNE once or twice. Had to walk by it, though. This one was in the 2018 Fair. Opposite the Hastings Horse Race Track, which also runs during The Fair.
