  2. $1 a donut is an alright price with me! Are the EXPRESS LINE donuts pre-packaged, etc? Just curious of me. (And those jars of pickles look mighty good to me, too!)
  3. Time for a newer, more truer one... Taken last September, during Playland's "Limited Openings" summer. I am hoping things go much, Much Better for them. And us. What the avatar is, now. And what it came from. Monday, Sept. 07/ 2020. The last day Playland was open, for it's (ahem) "season."
  4. What the f just happened now? One moment, I wasn't able to get in - now I am The Only One Here? Eek. EDIT: Now there are 2 of us here....with Sharktums! My stress is gone, now. And Robb's here, now. EDIT EDIT: Now everybody's here! Woo hoo! ......and Whew! I just love technology.
  5. Recent pix of Stella, taken when we had a clear sky, and sunshine during the winter time. On the back fence of our back yard. The Close Up Shot ~ January 22, 2021.
  6. I read that Canada's Snowbirds, those from Canada (usually elders) who travel south for winter vacations (Florida, etc.), are bitching and complaining and wanting to be exempted from recent covid-19 rules that the Gov't has just implemented..... and warned them about, for several months now. The rest of Canada is saying "F-You. You're on your own. You shouldn't have gone in the first place. You knew in advance, and still you went." Stupid idiots. It's a relatively small percentage who went, but still. They should have known better. Dumbasses.
  7. Hal Holbrook, Emmy and Tony-Winning Actor Who Portrayed Mark Twain, Dies at 95.
  8. "Trouble In Paradise" Rufus Wainwright
  9. Wow, a multi-tasker!
  10. How's the hour going?
  11. Have Fun, Every One!
  12. ^ Totally agree on this. I miss my Playland visits, as much as somebody misses their Disneyland visits. Big or small, we miss 'em all!
  13. ^ I wish that Playland(PNE) would post something like that, by now. Patience, patience I keep telling myself. Eventually....
  14. Finally! That means after May 31st, which is when (for now) theatres are allowed to re-open. More news to follow.... Now here's a test: Try and remember all of the plays and musicals that got Tony-nominated, back in mid-October!
  15. ^ Whatever you're posting, it's not part of the game that's being played in this thread. Do you do any winter sports during the season?
  16. Listening to one of The Best Theme Park Soundtrack cds, IMhO, ever. For Tokyo DisneySea. I know there's probably a new one released by now, but this one is a pretty thorough collection of musical themes throughout the park, and it's attractions. I bought this copy back in 2011. Never get tired of replaying it.
  17. Spent $10 on some scratch tickets etc..... won a total of $40 on them! Life can be a little nice, some times.
  18. We watched it once more, on tv. And this time, it was the same - bloody - thing with the sound! So much "other sound" going on, the dialogue was still too low in parts to grasp what was being said. We had the luxury this time of rewinding and then re-listening again. But even on the television we shouldn't have to do this. Ugh.
  19. There's this 27 year old artist, who loves going to the PNE and Playland. He was very unhappy about both shutting down during most of 2020, and started painting fave rides he enjoyed, when he visited Playland. Here are the ones that he's done...so far. You can read more about Simon and his Playland Art here: https://www.pne.ca/simon/ The first one he did, with other fave stuff of his underneath the West Coast Wheel. Yo ho ho! Here's a rhyme fer ya mateys: "Simon Greaves, is the artist of these." (Yaaarrr) The newest ride in Playland... The Sea-To-Sky Swinger.
  20. Cloris Leachman I got to see her live, in the revival production of Harold Prince's SHOWBOAT.
  21. Now listening to wild re-imagining of Dolly Parton's classic Jolene with full orchestra strings et al. Sung by Parton, too. Truly mind blowing listening to this! Produced by Linda Perry. Amay - zing! And I just found out........it was a one ~ take ~ taping!
  22. Quote lyric from a new Dolly Parton song... (co-written with Linda Perry) "Wish I had a nickle, for every dime that I spent." I Dolly Parton..... And Linda Perry!
