I'm now listening to a rare 3-Act Broadway Musical, truth! "Anyone Can Whistle" is one of a very few Broadway Musicals, that are actually in three acts. Very rare for any musical. Not so much for a lot of plays. This was a recorded 1997 session, of "Anyone Can Whistle," in London. The Narrator was none other than acclaimed director, Arthur Laurents ("La Cage Aux Folles" ~ RIP). And the main male lead was a very well know "Captain" from Doctor Who....John Barrowman. Long known as a talented musical theatre actor/singer, before his recent TV stuff (like "Arrow"). The newly released CD is available on Amazon.com . It was never released, that 1997 recording session.... until 2020, in celebration of (then) Sondheim's 90th Birthday. Awesome! ~ Happy Birthday Mr. S ~ Anyway, I looked up "3 Act Musicals" elsewhere, and found a very interesting list, including a couple of musicals I did not know were three acts! Here they are: Anyone Can Whistle / The Apple Tree / No, No, Nanette / Porgy and Bess / Peter Pan...

Listening to a newly recorded cast album, of the new 2019 revival of MARY POPPINS, in London. Great cast, and especially, finding PETULA CLARK ("Downtown"?) as the Bird Woman in this production. Great listen. And it's done properly LIVE, with the applause where it should be, and the laughs, etc. The singing and orchestra aren't constrained by bad microphones. Brava, Bravo!

I was wondering... the couple that won the TV Lego Challenge several months (a year?) ago... was their winning creation to be displayed here? Or in LegoLand New York? Or another LegoLand park? I forget which park. Just curious. And forgetful. -

Hmmm. Let's see here... Doing a Skywalk....while The Coaster is roaring around you, rumbling on the tracks....above/bedside you. I will pass for now. -
I used to always (minimally) complain, that I wished Playland(PNE) was open a lot more than it usually is every year. That being, May(wknds) - August(w/PNE), with a couple of weekends in September, and then FrightFest in October. Which used to only add up to about 88-90 days of operation. But nowadays... I am actually glad it's "season" is as short as it is. And judging by their reaction to the past year, they are (happily) more than ready to re-open and welcome their guests. Soon. So I really don't think that Playland is in any danger of closing up, for good. Coaster is just too good to give up on.

^ I was interested in that, but hadn't decided whether to 'buy' a view or not. The showing ends tomorrow, so I may do a last-minute thing and order/see it. In the meantime, I finally ordered a copy of this French-produced, but 99% English in dialogue and song, version of FOLLIES. It's gotten reviews from One Star to Five Stars, so I guess I'll judge it for myself when I see it. But at this point in time, it is The Only DVD of a full production of Follies, available. I really wish the original 1971 production had been recorded on film etc. As well, the 2017 London production (it got rave reviews, and there was a broadcast of it on the big screen, which we got to see a couple years' back) would be cool to have in a DVD, too. Ah well, we get what we can, when we can get, it, LOL! EDIT TO ADD: I just "checked in" about seeing "Ratatouille" online, and found out I have to join Facebook, to see it. Ah...not gonna happen. I do not belong to any social media groups such as Facebook, or Twitter, etc. etc. I do not feel like letting everybody know what I am up to, minute by minute IMhO. So with that, I won't be seeing "Ratatouille", sadly. Unless it gets posted at Netflix, HBO, etc. Or clips of it show up on YouTube. Available from Amazon.com

^ Someone also rumored earlier, that this could possibly be a Test Track kind of ride. Like Journey/Center/Earth in Tokyo DisneySea? With the way trackless ride vehicles work, as we've seen so far (flat levels only), it does seem to me that the Test Track way could be the way for this attraction. With "regular" driving speed, speeding up (i.e. The Police Chase) plus going uphill and down (like Journey), it seems more applicable. Trackless vehicles need elevators to travel on different levels, like RotR. So far. We'll all find out, eventually. P.S. I also thought that it could be designed and built like Indiana Jones in Disneyland/DisneySea, is. This too, could work. IMhO. They just revealed, during the park's New Year's show, the new logo for ShDL's 5th Anniversary coming up. The logo revealed on the castle during the 2020-2021 New Year's celebration. Shanghai Disney Resort Discussion Thread

Shanghai Disneyland just posted photos of the "topping" of the massive show building for ZOOTOPIA's main attraction. The final steel roof piece was signed by officials of the Resort and those involved with the building of it. By the way, since it's rumored to a be a "police chase" of some kind, this may be the main entrance into the attraction.... ....The Zootopia Police Station. Just a guess. The all-important officials' group shot, before signing the roof piece. Lowering the signed piece into position. Photos from Disney. What the Police Station looked like, in concept artwork c/o Disney. -
Dawn Wells, a/k/a Mary Ann in "Gilligan's Island" just passed away. Age 82. I always preferred Mary Ann over Ginger. RIP Dawn.

^ That looks like a happy dog! Here's a photo I found. Don't know if our Stella would agree to this. But you have to credit the owners for making their kitty more 'comfy'. I think. Other than the feet and tail exposed.... not too bad.
