  1. ^ Eep. Really? <sighs> Here's what I'm listening to now..... I love it, too! And who knew, GLEE's nasty Sue could sing! A very jazzy "Star of Wonder" is playing now. Sooo cooool!
  2. Now having a "Great Big Holiday Band Time" with Jane Lynch (yes it's GLEE's nasty Sue) and friends singing lots of different holiday songs as well as classics and faves of the time. She's really a good singer, when it's all in the right range for her, which it is for this CD!
  3. ^ Yours looks great! I have a few photo avatars I still enjoy using. The first was taken in the Tokyo Bay Hilton Hotel after we arrived in Tokyo Disney Resort (TPR Japan Tour-2013), the second one was taken last year (July) during the NEON Theme Adults Only Night at Playland. It's sooo me, lol! And then there's the one with me and...."Dad." Taken in Bakken Park ~ Denmark, TPR 2014 Scandinavian Tour. Such fun running into "family"!
  4. ^ We saw and enjoyed "Jingle, Jangle", too! And we saw "Christmas Chronicles" (1) since we found out Kurt and Goldie had made a second one featuring her a lot more in it, too. So we watched the first one last Sunday. Loved it. Kurt was soooo cool as Claus. Total reconstruct that worked, for us. We're watching CC2.0 tomorrow night. Not sure for now, what we'll want to repeat for next season, etc. There's so many of these seasonal movies/tv specials coming out, now. If anything the pandemic sure upped the rate of holiday films, heh. And that's great. More choices, right? And still there's space for "It's A Wonderful Life," too.
  5. "Over The Moon" totally surprised us! And that intro number The Goddess did! Ultraluminary! We had 3D on (w/glasses) and everything just exploded at us, LOL! Loved that number.
  6. Holiday baked goods!
  7. Country music singer K.T. Oslin. Known for 1990's hits, including "80's Ladies", and "This Woman."
  8. ^There's also the dungeon and the haunted forest to consider, too. Actually, in the very original version of this ride, and I remember it as a scared ten year old (1963), there was a skeleton shackled to the wall of the dungeon. And as you moved towards it, the head suddenly moved forward towards you, saying "Go Back, Go Back." And those trees in that forest did overhead 'swipes' with their branchy arms, much closer (and taller) than the cleaned up version had. Ah memories. But this was all part of my "Snow White Experience," heh. Hopefully, they've figured out ways to keep some of this in the new version of the ride, including the Evil Queen/Witch.
  9. ^ Scary Adventures isn't in the MK any more. It was turned into a Princess Meet & Greet (yes?), and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coaster was the replacement for it's Snow White. I think the only places it is now, is in Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.
  10. Mickey Wreath and Minnie Candy Cane Ornaments! But it "might" be the other way around, heh. I bought them from Disneyland in my Sept. 2016 visit. What the pic looks like, uncropped.
  11. ^ I would buy two boxes (or more) of them, if I could afford it. But I can just afford only one box of each different pair, etc. And that's fine with me. Having at least one box of them, is cool. Your little Doom Buggy train looks neat, by the way. EDIT to Add: You should make a small shoe box sized display for them to "travel through," maybe using black light paints, etc. MORE EDIT to Add: Actually, I could just link up all the ride vehicle pairs together, or mix them up, for a really "Odd~OmniMover" attraction, LOL!
  12. Tokyo Disney Resort and TOMICA are really starting to up the numbers in the TDR Ride Vehicle Collection! They've just released toy sized versions of Pooh's Hunny Hunt vehicle, and Big Thunder Mountain's main engine + a ride/mining car. Now they've just announced two more attractions' vehicles to be released December 23rd! Toy Story Mania and Ride & Go Seek! cars. From the photos shown, I am hoping, like the Haunted Mansion Doom Buggys, they are being sold in pairs. Check with eBay for these if you can't go to Japan....which of course presently, we can't. Pooh's Hunny Hunt "under glass". (o; Big Thunder, with a couple of missing mine cars. You get only one. Toy Story Mania. Woody's image is on both. And, they rotate! Monsters' Ride & Go Seek! cars. They rotate around, too! (o:
  13. ^ Looks great! No mention of the wicked you-know-who, I see. Wonder how that's (still?) being worked into the new story line of the ride?
  14. Oysters are falling from the sky! Is this random enough?
  15. ^ What a great way to "treat" a neighbour!
  16. ^ Yes, there was a rope at the back end of the boat, to pull it back up into the tunnel. You can make the rope out a bit, in that first photo I posted, cresting the water. Was going to mention it earlier, but forgot to.
  17. ^ I did that, actually unintentionally, in one of Playland's Haunt Houses a couple of years back. There were three guys ahead of me, I kept catching up to them, and then started acting like I was stalking them. Just stopping and staring at them, no other moves. It freeked them out totally. So much so, I figured they ran thru the House faster than they expected to. LOL! And at the exit, after we'd all come out of it, they realized that I wasn't part of the scare staff at all, and we all had a good laugh about it. A fun experience, that started out awkwardly.....for them, hee hee.
  18. ^ You're definitely right about that. No matter how big the crowds there are in Japan, the queues always seem to move faster than one would expect.
  19. I posted this nearly a month ago. Still bears repeating, after seeing the recent video here, IMhO.
  20. ^ I pulled the finger. Eep. And....uh......so melodic, too.
  21. It's a Holiday Taco!
  22. Interesting lately, that the iconic number "The Christmas Song", co-written by Mel Torme, has now gone through a "slight lyric alteration." The line "And folks dressed up like eskimos," is now replaced with "And folks dressed up in ties and bows".... or omitted entirely, as is the case with the well known Nat King Cole recording of it. It's just music where the line goes. Which sounds really off. The replacement line is okay, and at least fits in the timing and rhyming of the song. Still, interesting to see if there's other songs out there, getting "slightly adjusted" lyric-wise. P.S. Actually, an earlier Holiday lyric re-write went to "Have Yourself A merry Little Christmas." Near the end of the song, the line "Hang a shining star upon the highest bough," became "Until then, we'll have to muddle through, some how." Jingle Jingle.
  23. Fun, fun, fabulous fun! They just put together a drag queen lipsync sendup of Meryl Streep's Big Number in THE PROM, "It's Not About Me." https://www.broadway.com/buzz/200252/its-all-about-meryl-watch-drag-stars-pay-tribute-to-meryl-streep-with-song-from-the-prom/ Manila Luzon as Dee Dee Allen from "The Prom". 24. This is soooooo kewl! The Storm Crow Tavern here in Vancouver (and Toronto), is selling a "D&D Burger Alignment" Poster! I'll include the link to it here, so you can see "the cards" up close. But the write-up about it says.... https://shop.stormcrow.com/collections/frontpage/products/d-d-burger-alignment-11x17-art-poster Couldn't resist this, so I just bought one for myself. Ho ho ho! Below is the Dungeon Burger order sheet you'd use, with the 20-sided die. This form is a few years' old, so prices will have changed.
  25. When we did the TPR 2006 UK Tour, it took us to Lightwater Valley park, with a rather unique and totally questionable "shoot-the-chute" ride called TOAD HOLE. You entered the queue in a very VERY low ceiling tunnel, and up to "the boat" which was already on a tilt toward the outdoor slide. Into a very murky green lake. VERY murky. After a bit of a "pre-show" (audial), we were shot down this freeky tunnel and then right into the lake! The first shot here is the one I took, during the tour. The second shot, I am actually in the boat! At the end of that dark green railing, I am the grey haired guy in the white t-shirt. And thanks to Westcoaster.net for the photo. Actually, in relation to it being an "awkward ride," this one would be more in the "questionable ride" category. P.S. And with The Ultimate coaster, and the (then) underground indoor Wild Rat mad mouse coaster.... they had 3 kinds of 'awkward' rides. Come to think of it, the food was kind of 'awkward,' too. Nothing memorable. Here it comes! Into the awkward lake of green. And the queue entry is to the right of it, there. Did I say low ceiling? Us being pulled back to the dock. It rocked quite a bit too, I remember. We could not wait to "disembark."
