  1. ^ When I went in 2017, you had to have either a one day admission to the park, or a passholder pass .... and then you paid for the event. I didn't have a pass so I paid more for the event. But I expected that. So they probably will handle it the same way. When they post everything for it, you'll be able to see for yourself. Here's the link to it: https://www.cedarpoint.com/events/coastermania And have an awesome time there! And as Bert would (probably) suggest..... DO NOT FORGET TO RIDE CEDAR DOWNS! See? Bert really lovvves Cedar Downs! June 05-2017.
  2. ^ They're proposing exactly what Tokyo DisneySea is now doing, with their extension called Fantasy Springs. For the gp it's one entry/exit between Raging Spirits coaster and Flying Carpets. And a new hotel which like the Californian in DCA, allows those who stay at it, special entry to the extension park. But in this case, both Disneyland and Paradise Hotels will suffice with the same perk. The extensions don't fit with the original "shape" of each park, But then, ToonTown wasn't planned within the original berm of DL. And HKDL has practically surrounded the train tracks around the park with extra space for extra "miniLands" to exist. And if (hopefully) it does work in TDS ... who knows? And just because, here's the view from our Disneyland Hotel room, Easter weekend....1980! And there's The Parking Lot in question, that would turn into an extension of DCA. In the distance, you can see the DL parking lot, which became DCA - the current view would see the IncrediCoaster of Pixar Pier, from the back. And of course, the Convention Center is still there, And the Paradise Pier Hotel would eventually be "somewhere" in the middle there. Maybe on that 1980's plot of green land, perhaps?
  3. ^ Fantastic in "Arrested Development". RIP Jessica.
  4. Playland~PNE just posted... https://careers-pne.icims.com/jobs/search?hashed=-626010000&mobile=false&width=1200&height=500&bga=true&needsRedirect=false&jan1offset=-480&jun1offset=-420 Interesting to note, that nowhere in any of the pages with the forms and such there, is it noted the "Operating Schedule" of Playland, i.e. From When To When for the workers' contracts? I have the feeling they are holding those dates back, so no info. is inferred by us nosey Playland Fanbois, lolol. But they have said May as a starting date area for re-opening. So stay tuned...
  5. ^ And ..... Is it me, or is nothing a coaster ride? Actually, there are a number of attractions that probably wouldn't be boat rides... TRON, a coaster; Zootopia, probably a tracked ride; Peter Pan, TDS' Fantasy Springs' version is possibly to be more like Pandora's Flight; Frozen, HKDL's and Paris' version will probably be boat rides. But TDS' version, I am still certain, would be tracked or trackless. My 7 cents. EDIT To Add: Actually if there was one clone attraction that could come to DL, please let it be the ShanghaiDL's PIRATES ride! Hey, two Peter Pan attractions in TDLR, why not two Pirates in DLR? <grin>
  6. I just found this new site on another site. And ...... wow! All around the Disneyland Hotels, too. Totally unexpected! In an awesome way.
  7. I some times joke to people, that social distancing can be like a bad chess game. ^^ Sort of verifies it for me, lol.
  8. Listening to an awesome live performance at Carnegie Hall in New York city .... "Peter Allen Captured LIVE at Carnegie Hall". A cd that covers a 2 LP release back in 1985. I have the LPs in their original cover. And I wondered if i would ever hear this amazing live recording again. Today, I got the cd of the LPs. The concert was in 1984. The LPs came out in 1985. And I saw him LIVE on Australia Day at our 1986 World's Fair!
  9. That Donut ..... That Pretzel ..... My Stomach .... Whatever .... Drool.
  10. This new snack case, has just been posted at TDLR and TOMICA ..... and I am "yeah duh" getting one, via eBay! It's my favourite live show in the Tokyo Disney Resort. Will see a show every visit, as long as it's running. EDIT: Scored one! BBB (in DisneySea) stands for Big Band Beat, btw ..... this will be available at the end of March. Then .... one's mine, all mine!
  11. ^ Actually, I thought he posted "The Onion" on first glance.
  12. Here's a burger that Jarmor enjoyed ...... The ELVIS Burger, during his visit to Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster, recently. And how long did it take you to finish this monster burger, Jarmor? Just curious. The fries look good, too.
  13. They just posted a bit more info.at the PNE/Playland site, for last year's Season Passholders ..... So it looks like, for now, it will be the same as last year. Two comp passes.... plus "amazing bonuses". But I am still not too sure about the "2 comp visits for every season pass previously purchased." I have been a pass holder since 2006. So, does that mean I have..... (14seasons x2=) 28 comps, plus these two? Tickets are not available, yet. I will wait and eventually find out. I hope.
  14. ... and that burger ... ... Elvis would be proud.
  15. I still find it amazing to believe, that these two artists share the same birthday, today. Nonetheless... Happy Birthday Stephen Sondheim & Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber! (And I forgot to add... Happy Birthday Mr. William Shatner, too!)
  16. Quote from the radio... "A reinstatement of the Atlantic bubble." That's it.
  17. ^ We decided to split this movie into two "acts." and we're seeing the second two hours of it tonight. Very impressed with what was kept from the original release and what Snyder added to it. And focusing on a couple of backstories, this was great! I was a bit confused though, about Aquaman. Where does his movie fit into this timeline? I mean, he did re-unite with his mother in his film at it's end, but in this one, it appears he's none too happy with her. So .... ? Looking forward to the "second half" of this.
  18. ^^That was my first impression of the new logo & sign, too. (But without any shame, I would ride it, and suffer through it, for the credit.)
  19. Today's the day!
  20. I love it, that the current Opening Day for a lot of parks is (unofficially) April Fools Day, and the parks are making a big effort to let the public know, that this is not a prank, etc. Just noticing.
  21. ^ I would treat it like I do every year on Opening Day at Playland(PNE) here .... just walk around, take everything in, maybe buy something to eat.... and head home. I'd be back, but now I've got info on what they're planning to do, and how things will run, etc. ...... Oh heck, and ride COASTER at least once, while I'm there, hee hee. By the way...the way I see it, the number of fake residency papers and/or cards will rise, for those who REALLY need their non-local DLR fix, ha!
  22. Now that's the Tokyo Disney Way they do things! Single Rider on Splash Mtn, I always had to wait if the person by themself, said yes or no (group of 3?). And every time, they were very polite and said yes! They loved having a wierd looking old hippie like me beside them, for the Onride Photo, LOL. And Raging Spirits (?) Coaster in TDS was the same. And easy. But during these times, I understand, that's not too easy.
  23. OSCAR Nominations came out today. And of the few movies we actually saw, and most of them were on tv, Mank got a lot of noms. And we were glad to find out that Amanda Seyfried got a nom, for Mank. as Marion Davies. But, other than the above, and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom too, not many more 2020 movies seen (in any medium) that got noms. I do hope we get to eventually go back to theaters/theatres, to see films in their normal size, heh. EDIT: I re-thought what we actually did see last year. And there are a few more.... Tenet, The Prom (tv), The Invisible Man, and Onward (tv)... and that's it! Smallest - number - ever - of new movies we've seen, in any year.
