Happy Birthday, Kristen! AKA KidTums!
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to ebl's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ha! Thats one of those clever things that a parent can only pull off while their kid is young and clueless. My b/f killed his kids 2 tadpoles, he went out and bought a frog and said to his kids that the tadpoles combined and grew into a big frog. Silly kids didn't even question it. -
Dave's Restaurant & Food Thread
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to Meteornotes's topic in Random, Random, Random
Amen to that! There are so few foods that are better then butter...If only they made butter flavored butter. -
I don't know about that...NJ & NY are pretty bad drivers according to this article: http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/Insurance/Insureyourcar/P151501.asp Although it is my official opinion that NY drivers are the most annoying...seriously, I don't get the must sit in the left lane although I'm not passing anybody school of thought.

Movies, Movies, Movies.....
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random
I just watched Slumdog Millionaire...which is a touching movie. It is an interesting story with great editing/cinematography. Not only I like it, my b/f liked it as well...so it isn't just a chick flick. -
I think SoCal is much like Northern NJ...except you have much better weather and Portos (I freaking love that place). People are just nasty in the Northeast and are the worst drivers (traffic isnt much better then SoCal).

^Fake meats are good and ad variety into a diet. Besides, they really dont taste like the item they are trying to copy, but they are salty, tasty, and dont require killing animals to make them. Some people dont eat meat b/c of principle and some people dont b/c of taste.

24 Hour Theme Park?
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to Emiroo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What a silly idea...unless you apply the same principles as a casino, I couldn't imagine anybody staying up until 3am riding roller coasters. -

Gerd´s little school of Cooking!
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to gerd.muller's topic in Random, Random, Random
Hey Gerd... Oh my goodness...you cook beautiful dishes...too bad you are already married and live across the ocean...you are the perfect man. Can I put in a request for your next recipe? Can you teach us how to make an eggplant dish? I failed at every attempt at making it. Thanks! -
What rank did you make it to in Boy Scouts?
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to Kennyweird's topic in Random, Random, Random
Boys Scouts is much more complex and difficult then the Girl Scouts. I made it to Senior Girl Scout (I think that is the highest rank)....it wasn't that impressive...all you have to do is be in the right age bracket...and poof...your the highest ranked girl scout. Unfortunately, we only had 3 meetings...I don't think our leader was very much into it. -

^the cleaning people in my office insist on fixing my desk. I flipped down the picture of my (ex?) boyfriend on my desk...and every morning I come in and they are sitting back up. WTF???!!! Positively Pomegranate Orbit Gum When I picked it up, looking innocent in its wrapper, I thought....Yum, I love pomegranate...I will love this. First the opened pack was in my purse. I tried a few pieces, it was okay, but not superior to the other minty gum that sat next to it. So the pomegranate got neglected. After a few days of being in my purse...it started to giving me reminders me it was there. A smell….kinda like fruit juice mixed with pencil lead. I wasn’t amused and I cant throw it out (It goes against my ingrained upbringing). So, I leave it in my car. Now, my car smells like rotting fruit and pencils and it isn't just a slight lingering odor...you get a whiff of it immediately after opening up the car door (seriously, I never experienced gum with such power). Since it has been in my car, you would think that my purse has gone back to its original non-smelly self. NO! IT HASNT!!! AND IM SO SICK OF THAT FREAKING SMELL!!!! Therefore, I picked up a pack of Mint Mojito Orbit.... but I'm debating on opening it.

Will there ever be an official "Meet Up" thread?
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to Crazy4Coasters!'s topic in Ask Alvey
Has this ever been tried before? I think if people post that they are going to a park, and put a time limit down on it...say they can only post within 48 hours of going to a park. And give everyone a format that they have to follow. Like, When, Name of Park, Time, etc. I think that would be a great thing. I'm one of those people that go to parks by myself (sad, isn't it) so I would like to be able to catch up with some like minded coaster geeks so I'm not so pathetic standing online trying to make friends. -
I've been a veg for 16 years...and read up on a ton of info regarding proper diet. Just a word of advice on going veg, try not to rely on soy products, especially for your wife. Reason being is that there is research warning women from eating too much soy because they think it is linked to breast cancer. Now, most of the findings are not definite (they never are). I try not to eat more then 1 soy product per day...and really stay away from the fake soy meats because I look at them like eating cold cuts, they are processed fake meat (although the veggie corn dogs are real tasty). And if you are looking to loose weight, they are not the way to go, one fake burger can be as low as 90 calories, but some go over 200 (plus the bun, fixings, etc). Instead, getting your protein from legumes, beans, nuts, and eggs (I'm not a vegan)...can be a better option.

^Ya, I hate those morons who film dark rides with there view screens flipped open....so not only do you have the annoying lights from the camcorder, now you have the bright screen illuminating the room. I end up yelling, shut your camera off...a$$. God, I hate rude people.

I think that your plan is fair and very generous. You can easily say...that if you want a membership card which will allow you park discounts will cost you 25 bucks (which is more then reasonable)...but you are adding on that we can get a store credit. I think most people will see that you are not out to make a buck of your members.

I don't know if this counts as a VIP tour...but I did the Keys to the Kingdom at WDW. That was a really cool tour. It cost 60 bucks (on top of the regular admission to the park, we didn't mind since everything was pre-paid and we have done all the parks) and it started around 8/9ish and it was about a 4/6 hour tour (I cant remember off the top of my head). What you get is a small group lead by a Disney Ambassador. He/she will take you around The Magic Kingdom starting and ending on Main St. Sharing tidbits/hidden mickeys/and other stories about how Walt started his business and also information about Disney World. You can ask any questions you might have (our tour guide was VERY knowledgeable) some might be reserved for "backstage" and if so...you would have to wait until then to ask those. You get to walk onto select rides and get stories/information about these rides (Haunted Mansion, Small World, Pirates, and Space Mountain). They give you a lunch at some restaurant in some colonial restaurant...I cant remember the name, it was pretty tasty. The cream of the crop is that they take you backstage to where a parade starts (you get to see the empty floats) and then they take you to the Utilidor. It was definitely worth the 60 bucks...and if you have an interest in behind the scenes stuff but have no interest in becoming a cast member...I would definitely recommend it.

Small Little Unknown Parks
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to CreditCrazy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My parents always dropped my brother off at Gametown while I went to kiddieland. The only thing that interested me at Gametown was the fortune teller machine. Do you have any pics of kiddieland? I have to go through my parents huge box of slides. -
Why do you think execution should be allowed?
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to Adriel's topic in Random, Random, Random
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the majority of the people that are over the age of 25 are for death sentence....and those that are younger are against it. I used to be against it...but now, I can see it has its benefits....for one, if the person that killed another has no respect for life, why should they be allowed to carry on life until old age? -
Small Little Unknown Parks
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to CreditCrazy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There used to be a park in Pinebrook NJ called Kiddie Land (or something to that effect). It isn't mentioned on RCDB...I found a small mention of it in a NJ history book. They used to have a kiddie coaster, a small ferris wheel, an old whip, and a bunch of kiddie rides...which I have to do some serious digging to find a picture of me or my brother on it. It wasn't in the nicest of spots...for those of you that reside in NJ and are curious to know where it was...on Rt. 46 in Pinebrook where the Wendy's and jughandle that goes behind it now sits...across from Milanos (the old gametown). -
Why do you think execution should be allowed?
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to Adriel's topic in Random, Random, Random
^I didnt say get even...I said closure. There is a difference. A family that just had there daughter murdered will always know that the guy/girl who killed her is sitting in jail and might possibly get out and they will always hear about parole hearings, appeals, etc. If the murder is dead...they can close that chapter in there life (as best as they can). -
Why do you think execution should be allowed?
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to Adriel's topic in Random, Random, Random
Texas is a great example to show how capital punishment isn’t a deterrent for murder. Although I could assume that there are other variables: like education and other social issues. But nonetheless, I don’t care if it helps reduce the amount of murders...sometimes watching someone fry is a good way to help the victims families get a little closure. -
Remembering Back to the Future The Ride
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to AlexG8462's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
*sigh* One of my favorite rides ever...based on one of the best movies ever. I really am not looking forward to going to Universal next time I'm in SoCal. Its good to know that the ride isn't on the first B2TF movie...since I already have the box set.
