I find it funny how people are so against the books even though they never read them. I believe that Twilight was the first book by Stephanie Meyers and I thought they were well written b/c I enjoyed learning about the characters. It was also always a question of will they or wont Bella and Edward stay together, and how? My only grip about the movie is that girl that was cast for Bella...jeeze, could they get a more lame actress...her acting reminds me of a meth-head. Minus the scabs and sunken in cheeks.

^Or not want to procreate, like older couples who just want to get married to make a promise to each other. Since when does marriage=kids?

Just to chime in on the plant-feeling-pain research....lets just say that they can feel pain and pain of other plants around. And maybe they grow slower because they are stressed. Perhaps plants would grow faster if fields had some kind of wall/barrier around them so that when crop A is being slaughtered, crop B wont get stressed and therefore grow slower. Just a thought.

I thought that pools have to have water in them to keep them from cracking....could be wrong though.

Ummm...the park opens April 4th. If Kingda Ka is open, go on it first (or whenever you can). The weather is strange during April, it can be warm but windy and they will close KK when there is too much wind. I usually go this time of year, this year I'll be going on either the 18th or 25th. There are hardly any lines (unless there is some youth/school group)...so you should be able to hit up everything.

I saw that movie a few months ago, and I thought in the commentary they said it was Santa Monica for some of the shots...but they did a lot of green screen.

What a funny thread...there are so many funny names of coasters...I want to go to Bush Gardens just to hear how to pronounce Sheikra (sp?)...I always think of Shakera (sp?), the singer. Can someone help me out so I dont seem like such a dumb a$$ when I finally go to BG???!!!

To really give a movie going experience, they should offer a one time Titanic (or Poseidon) themed cruise. (Complete with a shortage of lifeboats.)

^Maybe I didn't make myself very clear...it isn't about the fact that mean things are said about people that are in the Hollywood scene. Its the fact that they are repeated here about a person who regularly posts and attends TPR functions. Shouldn't we try to be supportive, not rehash negative crap? ^I just think it is a little insensitive to say: "Hey look at this...one of us was lampooned on Family Guy, what an honor". Unless DCody wrote the joke, its mean and I'm surprised that people are posting it like its no big deal.

^If that was what was said, why would you guys post such a mean thing? She is a fellow TPR'er and if I were her, I would be hurt by that joke. Maybe I just don't get that sense of humor.
