Some people are under the impression that these kids are being picky. By the description above...that doesnt sound like a place I would like to stay. Some people on this board think its okay for kids to sign a contract stating that they will work in KI for a cheaper rate then American KI employees in exchange KI will provide a suitable roof over there head and transportation. It was KI's contract with the students, not WISE. Somebody mentioned that they don't have to pay a deductible for there medical insurance (and that they should be so lucky to even get insurance). Yes they do have to pay a deductible, it’s in the handbook that is on the site...and at 50 bucks a doctors visit, sounds like a real bargain!! Anyway, I could imagine that there is some law stating that companies sponsoring oversees employees have to provide some sort of emergency medical coverage.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is difficult to loose anybody...but someone so young can be even harder. Your friend had an unfortunate accident that he faced a lifetime of struggling. Maybe you can take peace in knowing that he passed on without pain and he is in a place where he can walk again. A girl I went to HS with was dating a boy that suddenly passed of cancer (they never detected it until it was too late). She started fund rasing for cancer research and it comforted her to know that she is helping people that are in a similar situation.

Try to buy a fast pass online. If you can get one, then you are at least prepared for a busy day. If they are sold out...then you know the place is going to be jammed.

Nooooo!!!! I loved the Canyon River Rapids. Funny, my family and I watched a video of us going through the rapids 10+ years ago. I hate when they take out the good stuff (like the Conestoga Wagon) and they replace it with crap like a wave pool.

^I don't agree, I think that MattyD was giving a bit more thought onto frivolous cases such as the McDonalds case. Not that he cant speak for himself...I just cant believe what I'm reading...people actually think that the McDonalds case wasn't frivolous. It wasn't the amount that was frivolous...its the fact that the person who sued McDonalds put a cup of hot coffee on her lap. McDonalds didn't put it there...and she didn't order a cup of cold soda and got hot coffee...she ordered a hot item and willingly put it on her lap. Just like this kid jumped a fence in which he new it was restricted...that is common sense to see a fence, somebody wants you not to enter. I don't understand why people find this lawsuit to be acceptable? When are people held accountable for their own actions? The only people that are making out are the lawyers when they get a cut of the pie.

Well...you have to find out does he get vertigo when he rides coasters or does he have a fear of heights. I dated a guy who cannot even go on the freaking rocket ships in Disney w/o getting sick (sad). Of course he (lovingly?) referred to my pastime of amusement parks as an excuse to not go out to see the world. The moral of that story is that if people don't enjoy it...they usually end up being mean and mocking amusement parks. So... If he doesn't get sick...then throw him on Superman at MM...he might find the launch to be loads of fun and it is pretty tame after that.

I think that The Dark Knight has gotten a lot of bad press. After riding it for the first time on Sunday (at Great Adventure)...I thought it was quite fun...I laughed and giggled the entire ride.

Well if I sounded a bit harsh its b/c your story doesn't make much sense to an adult reader, it lacks detail and feeling for someone who is going through a rough time. If you really want to do yourself good and live a life where you don't hate/resent your father, mother, and sister...you should seek counseling or a group to talk about what you are going through. You should ask yourself if posting your personal stuff online and asking people to critique you is doing you any good.

Maybe you should sick to what you know...maybe create a fantasy story or write about your own life experiences. Because... IMO-You lost credibility right off the bat...your "mother" marring a man who she didn't know had a crack habit is pretty unbelievable. A crack habit is difficult to hid (missing teeth, no job, irritable, burnt fingers). Also, the fact that "your father" was able to produce two kids is rather difficult considering a typical side effect of crack is impotence.
