I don't really get that argument. The face value might be higher, but prices are the cheapest they've been in years if you simply buy your tickets on the SF website. I'm not a rainman when it comes to remembering numbers....but a cup of beer went up a dollar which if it was at 5.99 last year...that makes it a rough 20% increase. The drive through safari is no longer included in a day ticket (for Great Adventure). The games are now 3-5 dollars/game. Those are only a few examples of the price increases....true, the admission tickets stayed the same price.

I think everyone did a very good job...each person took this on their own angle. IMO---I think the one that really stood out is Jimmybo's. He really had a fun video. Great editing...I liked where he gave the impression that he was using multiple cameras, such as the log flume he got it in one angle and contined the scene in another. Great stuff!!!

Dumbest things said on TPR

^Purposely broke the rules, misspelled, and post a bizarre topic...what is the point in that? -
Interviews can be nerve racking...if you are nervous, let the interviewer know that you are nervous b/c you are so excited for the opportunity. Usually, when you let out your secret, you will be able to think clearly. Also, its very important to sent the interviewer a thank you note for there time. You can either e-mail or mail it. If you have any questions on what to write, PM me. Good luck!

Funny you mentioned that...I thought it was kinda strange that people needed to not wear there SNEAKERS onto a ride. I was on line for Guest Services...and I heard some guy (btw, with a killer mullet) bitching about the locker policy....he never had an issue with his loose articles flying away. I guess you cant please everyone.

So, I went to Great Adventure this weekend. No TR...I’m not about to lug a camera around with their new locker policy. However, one thing was apparent while I was there; the park staff was exceptionally friendly. I was grumpy from the increase in food prices (beer, 8.99, *pft*)...Houdini looks like its disappearing, and the looping rocket ship got launched into space. Even with those disappointments, I couldn’t have a bad day with all the positive energy the staff exhibited; it was like being in a new park. I went on Sunday, the park was dead, but they even had the DC and Looney Toon characters out in full force. Even the music was loud and upbeat. When we ate, a manager came up to us to ask us if everything was okay??!! They even left the entrance to El Toro open until 7pm on the nose…even though the park was empty. My question is…if you have gone to Six Flags this year, did you notice the change also? If so, what are they? On a side note: Does anybody know what they are doing to Houdini and what did they do with the Looping Ship?

Its like you have an awesome mind reading capability. Seriously, those teacups are a killer...I can jump out of a plane (with a parachute, of course), go on any coaster, love the feeling of getting my stomach pulled into my brain.... but its those teacups that I refuse to go on. Unless, of course, it is at the very end of the day and it makes the people in my group happy. Happy to see me loose my cookies.

What's wrong with Knott's?
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to Fredlv1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I agree...Knotts used to be considered a theme park and now since they took out all those unique attractions IMO--its just an amusement park. Some attractions started not fitting into the theme of the old west, like the dinosaur ride. But it still had its charm. I haven't been there since they replaced the soap box racers with that horrible surfing-themed coaster...I've been going there since I was a baby and now all the nostalgia has been sucked out of it. -
I tried to go onto a kiddie dragon coaster in Seaside last weekend and I had a kid (on loan just for this purpose)!!!! The ride op told me that I was too big for the ride. I protested and asked him what does he mean. Then my borrowed kid blew my cover by reminding me that he is 11 years old and that he didnt want to waste to ride it anyway.

Teacups Make Me Sick replied to ChrisZer0's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Although I'm a veg...not a vegan...I remember a black-eyed peas stir fry dish that they made there that was fantastic! That and the how cool it it to sit in a pirates ride while eating...I enjoyed yelling at the boats floating by. -

Knoebels has AWESOME perogies (sp?) that are like 3 for a buck. MMMMMMM -
Not like this should really be equated into which park is better because they are both good parks and its an individual assessment as to which park is better. BUT CP is in a horrible location...sorry for those who live there...but when I went...we tried to go jet skiing, CP charges an arm and a leg. Scratch that. We went to the OTB (off-track betting) that is outside of CP....that deserves a check. But then SF has indian casinos and LV a few hours away. The Erie Perch is good. However, it rained like 50% of the time we were there and there was NOTHING to do. At least, SF is in a desert and you don't have to worry about losing ride time b/c of a few rain drops.

I would go to Six Flags...second week in June doesn't promise you really good water park weather and since that part of the park is included in admission, you would defiantly want to experience that.

Article: The Mecca of the Mouse
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to sugart's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not to be in defense of this elitist jerk...but...Slate Magazine is a cynics POV on everything from politics to children to Disney parks. His article is supposed to reach a crabby audience that sees no value in going to a place to steal a little bit of innocent fun. Those are the people who shrivel up and die b/c they lost there sense of fun/humor. -
Awww....dont give up, its good that you are being constructive. However, a how to on creating a website, is kinda not an easy answer to post online. Your young, dont you have any friends that can help you out with this? More importantly.... Your parents have every right to pry into your business on the internet. The amount of people praying on the young is gross...and your parents are looking out for nothing more then your safety. One day you will thank them.

I figured since Disney doesn't seem to question their guests...such as: when I went for my B-day and got my pin..nobody asked to see my ID. Not that I would lie about that, but I'm sure there are some people that would to get the perks of spending your birthday on a Disney property.
